OK, so I've been a little discontented with G+ lately. I thought that perhaps I've been neglecting Facebook.  I go over to FB and start using my account again,  adding some pictures, trying to connect to some old friends and family.  I figure if friends are good here then friends are a good thing there as well.  Every time I check email I get I get a dozen of these stupid emails that say so-and-so wants to be my friend.  I know that really means that they want to send me an invite to Gangster Wars, Farmland, or some other silly thing, but what the heck.  Everyone needs a Facebook presence right ?  

Every time I log in to FB, I see this whole list of people that want to be my friend and an even bigger list of people FB says I probably know and should invite to be my friend. I accept a bunch of invites and I send out abunch ... more »

Since watching Plastic Planet - Die Doku (Deutsch) we've been trying to reduce the amount of plastic in our household, especially in the kitchen. One of the difficult areas have food containers for the fridge or freezer. Glass or metal are options but last week +Biodeals.de had a special offer for these new bioplastic boxes from Ajaa! (http://ajaa.de). They are expensive but I am glad to see some product innovation in this area.

Turnips are a vegetable we have just discovered and have been enjoying, especially raw in salads. White turnips, also known as May turnips are seasonal both in the springtime, and in fall. We are looking forward to having more and growing our own.

What are you doing about table tops? Do you have special table tops for food photography?
