Redid the striped beanie because the new owner said it didn't fit her properly. It fits my husband's big head, so I'm hoping this one will work for her.
Made a camo headband to match the camo scarf I recently finished.

So, took a week off from yarn work from cramming so many projects for the past several weeks. Today, I'm getting started on a crocheted headband (haven't settled on a pattern yet), a pair (or two) or crocheted earrings, and another camo scarf, for a gf, using a honeycomb stitch pattern on a 32-pin long knitting loom.

Introducing myself and posting a photo of one my latest projects: crocheted stocking plus snowflake (to later be filled with sweet goodies) for my coworkers. This is my first time attempting either.
I've been doing yarn work (crochet, knitting, loom knitting) for about two years. I found I had a talent for it, right away and kind of bemoaned the fact that I didn't pick up a hook or needle years before (though, in my defense, nobody ever suggested that I try).
I'm still learning and always looking for some project that I could seek my hooks into.

So, +joe boston and I finally set a wedding date: 01/01/2013 (a year from when we started formally dating) and we want to do it online. Looking for someone to officiate but also seriously considering doing a +hangout so that we can broadcast it to our family and friends (real & cyber) in real time.
We both live in CO and would have legit marriage license. CO has no restrictions on where the officiant is licensed to perform weddings, just that they be legit/licensed. We could do it ourselves (legally), but it would be awkward, plus, I'm sure the in-laws would appreciate it if it were a tad more formal than that. In any case, so long as we have the license, our cyber wedding would be totally legit.

I'm sure there are a lot of SAHM (by choice and by happenstance, i.e. jobloss) who would love it if the Fed recognized mothering as a legit form of employment. After all, speaking for myself, that is a tough mother of a job with few, and mostly thankless, benefits.

As United States lawmakers continue to consider anti-piracy legislation in Congress, they’ve found an ally in Netflix. Now the streaming content giant has created its own super PAC, whose main goal is to promote SOPA-like legislation.
Hollywood and record industry support didn’t help Congress get SOPA and PIPA to pass the House and Senate, but now they have a new accomplice in their continuing fight to try and push for anti-piracy legislation. Netflix, the number one name in (legally) streaming video services in the US has announced the formation of their own political action committee.
