Minneapolis Photo Opportunities?

This image was not from Minneapolis (actually Yellowstone Park) but I am planning on going to Minneapolis this week-end.  I will have some time to explore and photograph the downtown area (on foot) Saturday and Sunday morning.

Are there any Google+ folks out there who could share places I might want to check out and photograph?

I have heard a lot about the downtown area and I am really looking forward to my visit!  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Her is a post from +Peter From about the work he is doing creating a nature photographer circle.

The Capture The Circle –– First Share –– Announcement

#CircleSharingForThePeopleCNCA

Next Monday it will be time to reshare the validated brand new Capture The Nature Circle (CNC). The circle will contain lots of skilled photographer's that specialize in capturing the great moments of nature. You will love it!

If YOU want to hop on the CNC train, do the following:

1. Help spread the word and reshare this announcement post. Why? If you think you should be promoted, you should be willing to do the same for your fellow photographers. Simple as that.

2. Ask for inclusion in the comments. I will check every feed.

3. Make sure that you share your own original nature photography (lakescapes, landscapes, seascapes, animals etc.) in your feed. If there are too many reshares of other peoples' work, irrelevant YouTube clips, animated GIFS, blog post teasers etc., I might not add you to the circle. The CNC is a validated quality circle that should bring people great nature imagery to their feeds.

NOTE! If you see that I have plussed your comment, then you know that I have added you to the CNC. I didn't PLUS your comment? Make sure that you have reshared this announcement post and let me know that you did so.

This announcement post is hash-tagged with #CircleSharingForThePeopleCNCA so that you may mute the reshares this post will generate. That way you will avoid seeing multiple copies of this post in your feed and your adrenaline level will stay normal. I will add a new hash-tag for every announcement and circle post in the future. That way you won't miss out on any of the action but still can mute all the duplicate reshares.

Here is an excellent add-on that will help you to mute the reshares: http://code.google.com/p/nonplus/

Cheers!___Her is a post from +Peter From about the work he is doing creating a nature photographer circle.

This image is from South Africa 4 years ago.

Here is a question -- what technique do people use to save and re-post theme pages and curators. This is something I am going to refer to a lot and there must be an easier way than to type in the info each post.
I know one can type in a "+" and Google+ will bring up some alternatives but this process is time consuming. Any shortcuts?

Can someone please explain to me how Google+ handles my requests to not allow downloading of my images?
I have my profile "Allow Viewers to Download Photos" set as unchecked, When I test this after updating the profile, I can still download the jpg files.
What am I missing?
I figure that someone out there has already figured this out so your input would be greatly appreciated!

I have always enjoyed this image. I also found a couple of streams called +FloralFriday and +AllThingsRed that I thought I would post to.

Another image from Columbus Indiana two weeks ago. Columbus has more great architecture than any town I have ever seen.

A couple of months ago, I was shooting at a stream in Pennsylvania, near Carlisle. Nothing like fast flowing water to create some (I think) interesting images.

Peter From +Peter From released a newly revised Amazing Photographers Circle.
In full disclosure, Peter was kind enough to include me in the circle.
There are some really talented photographers in this circle so if you want a good stream of images I hope you will take a look at this circle.

The Amazing Photographer's Circle (APC) –– Revised Version, Part 2

Here's part 2 of the APC. Ask for inclusion in the first post BUT reshare both to get included in the next revision.

I saw a really good leopard image by +Angelika Ritter this morning which made me think of fond memories from Kruger Park. This leopard image was taken by me during a visit in May 2012 on the Western side of the park.
I have not found a Google + stream for African wildlife images -- any suggestions?

Here is a `post written by Peter From on applying to be part of a circle he is working on called The Amazing Photographers Circle. Should be an interesting group of photographers!

I want to be included in the circle!

Reminder: The Amazing Photographers Circle (APC) –– READ BEFORE ASKING FOR INCLUSION

On Monday (noon CET) it's time to share the revised and validated Amazing Photographers Circle again –– my fantastic collection of amazing photographers from all around the world.

If YOU want to be included in the circle, now it's a good time to apply. Things to consider: reshare this reminder, leave a comment here that you want to be included and make sure that I can find some good original photography of yours in your feed. Please do NOT add ANY external links to the comments –– I check Google+ feeds only. Comments with external links will be deleted.

If I plus your comment, it means that you've been included. If I did NOT plus your comment, you probably did not reshare this post.

Cheers!___Here is a `post written by Peter From on applying to be part of a circle he is working on called The Amazing Photographers Circle. Should be an interesting group of photographers!

I saw the Waterfall Wednesday stream and I thought this image would qualify. Taken in South Africa. Hope you enjoy it!

I spent a terrific week-end in Columbus Indiana taking photographs of the architectural wonders all over town. This is an image from the North Christian Church which was designed by Eero Saarinen. Beautiful design both inside and out! I will post some additional images in my Columbus Indiana album.
