#QandBA: What happens to a human if they're exposed to the vacuum of space?

I guess people have a morbid curiosity - literally - when it comes to space, because I get this question relatively often. Short answer: you die. Longer answer: you pass out, then you die. Longerer answer: you don't explode or freeze instantly, but it's still pretty sucky.

Gah!! I just read the syllabus for my calc 2 class. We are required to do weekly written journal entries, an oral report, and a research paper. This isn't an English class! I want to go in there to learn and practice math, not write papers about it.

I think most animals are a lot smarter than humans give them credit for, but especially birds. It takes a lot of brain power to coordinate flight. The fact that they were able to be trained to recognize different numerical amounts doesn't surprise me that much, because it has been demonstrated for hundreds of years that pigeons can be trained and that they have excellent memories and the ability to recognize landmarks and use them for navigation.

I have been lucky enough to find my soul mate. He has been by my side through thick and thin for 18 years now, that's over half my life. Corbin was at the library checking out a book called "the worlds most dangerous animals" yesterday when the librarian said to him, "Wanna hear about a dangerous animal I saw?, I'm from Malaysia and I saw a centipede that was 10 inches long when I was there."
Corbin responds with no excitement at all, -"Those are Myriapods."
