My Modern Met: "Zev manages to present a variety of techniques in his collection of images that lean towards the surreal in his self-portraits, which also overlap with his ongoing Little Folk series. A common theme in these works is to play with size ratio. By shrinking himself down for his imaginative photos, Zev takes the viewer along on a magical journey of rediscovering the world around us where blades of grass stand at equal height, a leaf can be used as an umbrella, and an acorn makes a suitable seat. His self-portraits also show just how young he is, making it all the more astounding that he's capable of producing such quality pictures."

These tips from photographer Catherine Hall on using and choosing your reflectors will help to make it a bit easier:

1: Know your weather

Your main light source is the sun. A reflector takes what it is given from the sun and modifies and redirects it. That simple. If you are shooting in broad daylight at noon and use a hard silver reflector to shine that sun right into your subject’s face, your photo will be a hard lit, high contrast mess with squinted, tearing eyes and you will send your subject running.
