Friburg, Montreaux, Bern, Nyon, Gland, Geneve, Devonne, Luzern, Milan, Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento... Phew. 

It was an amazing three weeks, but I'm glad to be back in Austin, Texas. Since landing, I've eaten tacos twice and purchased three types of fresh salsa at HEB. I guess I was a little homesick.

My husband and I arrived in Switzerland today. We're here visiting my parents in a village near Nyon. So far we've eaten baguettes, croissants, and Swiss ice cream. We even drank some Swiss beer called "Hell". More photos and stories to come!

I'm thrilled to be teaching a class at Faraday's Kitchen Store on Wednesday. I'l be cooking some of my favorite Chinese dishes, and telling stories from my time in Beijing. We'll start off with a spicy tomato soup with lump crab and scallion, then whip up a home style stir fry made with seasonal veggies and farm eggs. For dessert, we'll be making sweet corn ice cream, topped with crisp sesame wontons! It's going to be really, REALLY good, guys.

As a kid in Jamaica grapefruit would be your least favorite fruit and my mom use to try and find innovative methods of me having my fruits. Well I'm happy she did cause this became one of my favorite pass time.. Thank you mommy.

Ladies and gents my entry in the #ITKGrapefruitChallenge

The Jamaican grapefruit irie bowl....

Carefully extract the core create cuts in the pegs and then close to the edge to create chunks of the fruit...

Pour it out in a bowl juice and fruit and mixed with sweetened condensed milk and if your adventurous you can add a 1/2tsp of coconut flavor rum. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg and prepare your world for delight!!!
