Max Huijgen46,779The 100 most relevant people on G+ you really should check out. It´s impossible to select the people which contributes most to my experience on G+ so I´ll let Google do the dirty work. These 98 people (and 2 pages I helped founding) are the most relevant ones according to Google´s circle sort so they deserve a spot in the Friday sun.  If you´re not in it, be assured I really enjoy your posts and/or comments. I meet a lot of great people here, but this self imposed limit to 100 is just to make it easier for others to circle the whole bunch and check them out.2013-06-21 19:32:111001221459

Max Huijgen41,136Europe calling: the old giant wakes up and calls on its peeps! A new circle of Europeans as I promised long ago to connect the people who responded and share them. See for the first shared circle this post https://plus.google.com/112352920206354603958/posts/PDUi13o9dB1The original post was shared 225 times. You can find it here:https://plus.google.com/112352920206354603958/posts/CdhmHGbYjgiPart 2 is still open and can be found here:https://plus.google.com/112352920206354603958/posts/NDAhG4fP2a7If you didn´t do so already, post there and as long as I have spots free, I will circle you as I want to see my streams come alive during European hours. There was a shared feeling that it would be great to get some attention from G+ for Europe with official hangouts from the community managers during European times, feature roll-outs from Google no longer restricted to the US, having some central point to share European circles and last but not least the desire to have hangouts without having to burn the midnight oil. To help solve this and get Europeans together on the same page I created +Europeans on G+  It already has multiple managers out of the community and that initiative recently span off +European Photo  but feel to offer a bit of your time for this community project. Circle the page if you didn´t already do so. We need more peeps from all over Europe to participate and enjoy G+I hope these posts can do the rounds through Europe and gets us firmly on the G+ map. So even if you´re not European yourself, but sympathize with the initiatives to form a community here, help spread the word and share it.And don´t forget: we all love the other continents and most of us have circles which encompass the whole world. So it´s not against others, but pro us :)2013-03-15 15:05:14291532076
Max Huijgen40,460100 Most relevant people on G+: interaction and lively threads guaranteed These folks are generated by the G+ ´relevant´ algorithm and will spice up your streams with great posts and mind challenging reactions on your contributions to G+. Circle them and see your streams come alive... My way to thank all of of you for making G+ such a great place.2013-02-21 22:14:1610059751
Meilani MacDonald9,454Small business networking circle.  This circle is made up of people who have expressed interest in the TGIF Business Networking Hangout.  Some of them have been guests on TGIF, many have been HOA participants in the peanut gallery, and some have interacted via comments even though they never came in.  They have all expressed interest in small business networking, and many provide valuable services or advice to small business owners. Some are way more active here on G+ than others, but hopefully they will be encouraged to join us here on the plus more often.Basically, it's just a nice circle to add and share with your business networking connections.  If you are not in this circle, but you are a small business owner or entrepreneur who adds this circle, please leave a comment below and introduce yourself and your biz - we are here to do some business networking after all :) #smallbusiness   #networking   #sharedcircles   #TGIF   #MeilaniM   #entrepreneurs   #business  2013-01-30 21:40:198522421

Amanda Blain2,251,868*500 People Who Hangout Circle*Anytime you see me having a hangout feel free to join in. We use webcam, voice and text chat... (Please get your webcam going though!) and join in the fun conversations. What do we talk about in these hangouts with strangers? Everything and nothing  We talk about todays current events, android vs apple, whats happening on Google+, the price of big macs in your local country, business networking,  tv shows, whatever you want to talk about... To the best of my ability everyone in this circles has personally hungout with me... and it was fun.. :)This circle is where I have made the most lasting connections on G+.... Meeting many of these people in real life since I met them in hangouts. I joined G+ Jun 29th, 2011. I hung out then and pretty much most days since. I was voted Google+ Hangout Queen this year :)I've seen amazing things in hangouts, Tours of far away countries, cooking classes, airplane trips, photowalks, concerts, language lessons, trivia nights, relationship advice, seeing famous landmarks, attending behind the scenes of tv shows, hangouts with famous celebrities, and countless late night and early morning hangouts with fabulous normal people from all parts of the world and right next door... TV shows have nothing on this. Countless experiences all without leaving my living room.If you want to try out hangouts on G+, ADD THIS CIRCLE and join one! These people will have hangouts that you should be able to see and join in on...   People in hangouts are usually really welcoming and nice.. so speak up.. say hi and join us.♥ ♥ Please feel free to share ♥ ♥ps. if you cant add the circle because google says you added too many today.. remove some of the people and try again... :)#googlehangout #hangout #sharedcircles  2012-11-16 03:28:4650010748169
Max Huijgen27,907A mystery shrouded in an enigma: My Top 99 circle These are the 99 users who are on top of my relevance list and I considered myself quite relevant to myself so I overruled Google there :)Many of these folks are engaging with me through posts or comments, but it´s still a surprise circle. Some people have a magic link thanks to Google´s relevancy algorithm which is a mystery shrouded in an enigma. If anyone has a clue what determines relevancy I would like to know. It´s clear that it´s something like ´interaction * no. of followers as I rarely comment on +Robert Scoble and vice versa. Most of the others are completely understandable, but then again some names are missing..I have removed some people who I know mostly through work related email or don´t post in English and added instead the profiles next in line. Want to create your own?► Click circles on the tab on the right► Make sure relevance is selected (default)► Select the top 99 users. (Drag a box around them)► Drag the whole group to "drop here to create new circle"► The new circle will open up. Make sure its 99 and adjust it if needed► Share it and use the hashtag #top99  and #sharedcircles  #top99   #sharedcircles   #sharedpubliccircles  +Shared Circles on G+  +Nothing but Circles  +Public Circles  +Full Circle  +CircleCount  If you got notified you are one of the 99.2012-07-25 23:37:0699109644
Craig Froehle4,629467 Plussers Well Worth FollowingSome curated recommendations to make your Tuesday a bit more interesting. I kept this circle largely free of celebrities, pages, and organizations, so these should (nearly) all be actual people. Enjoy!By the way, topic-wise, it's a bit of a potpourri, but with emphasis on technology, science, progressive politics, skepticism, and other fascinating things.Note that I don't always agree with everyone in this circle, so don't take this as an endorsement of their ideas...merely that they tend to be thoughtful when presenting them.2012-07-03 14:29:094671718
Kyle Beck66So, I know a lot of my friends who have joined +Google+ wonder "What's the point? I have a Facebook." Well that comparison was flawed from the beginning, although many people made it while trying to describe G+. There are similarities, but one of my favorite features in G+ has been the ability to share Circles with others. In fact I'm not sure I would see the point if I hadn't been shared this very circle by +Robert Scoble (IIRC) early on in my G+ membership. It has proven an invaluable source of up-to-the-minute Tech News over the past year and really showed me how G+ is very different from FB.See, when you visit FB the information you receive is solely from your family and real-life acquaintances. This can be great for keeping up with people you don't see regularly, etc., but it is very hard to reach out to new people who share your interests through FB. Not so on G+. You can create and share groups of friends and pages (Circles) to organize your social interests. In effect, this creates dynamic communities where you can choose who you interact with.Anyways, I hope you will consider adding this Circle, packed full of Tech Enthusiasts. If you don't really use G+ or wonder what the point is, that goes double for you!2012-06-30 00:28:364881003

Sebastian Hiernaux1,505Ever since a popular G member added me to a circle he later shared I have seen my followers grow 100x ... so I'm now doing the same thing.Yesterday I read an article that indicated that G+ gets really interested when your followers reach around 300 ... so I want to help other people enjoy this network as much as I do by sharing and hoping you add them to your circles. This circle I am sharing is full of funny and interesting people... its my "personal favorites" circle.Hope you find it useful...2012-06-05 16:00:01362516
Max Huijgen24,852Europe calling: the old giant wakes up and calls on its peeps! Part IIAccording to the latest figures 426.9 million Europeans now use the InternetThere is a is feeling that it would be great to get some attention from G+ for Europe with official hangouts from the community managers during European times, feature roll-outs from Google no longer restricted to the US, and last but not least the desire to have hangouts and interaction without having to burn the midnight oil. To help solve this and get Europeans together on the same page I created +Europeans on G+  It already has four managers out of the community but feel to offer a bit of your time if you want to contribute. Circle the page if you didn´t already do so. I also organized a "I will circle you" project. If people commented that they came from Europe I would circle them instead of the other way. The intention was to share this circle back to the community and the first circle of 500 went out. You can find them here https://plus.google.com/112352920206354603958/posts/PDUi13o9dB1Now as promised it´s time for round 2: 300 people and a few European pages. Some very well known, some relatively unknown, but all certified active posters from Europe who will spice up your streams during European hours.Check them out and please share the circle as the intention is to get much more Europeans united!if you were left out while you signed up: my excuses as it´s a tedious job to manage all these circles. I checked all but I am only human :)2012-06-01 14:51:14301843557
Kevin Medeiros3,101Yeah yeah, this is a huge circle to share. These guys and girls are a bunch of geeks. Geeks of what type you might ask? Well, of all sorts..you'll just have to find out. I've gone through and weeded out some of the inactive users myself in order to stay under the 500 person limit. These guys make up a big portion of my stream and never fail to keep me informed about awesome shit. You may also be asking why I didn't sort them out into sub-geek categories? The answer to that is because I'm not your damn secretary :-)Just check'em out :)2012-05-26 19:20:2947711714

Robert Scoble1,146,151Here are 500 of my favorite Tech Journalists, bloggers, and pundits. I'm sharing this since I am seeing lots of new people coming over and I'm sure they are looking for some great people to circle here. Unfortunately I can't share everyone that I have in this circle (I have 575 in this circle on my screen, but Google+ only lets me share 500 with you). Lots of interesting tech bloggers and journalists here. Hope you enjoy. This is the circle that starts my morning every day.Speaking of Tech News, I'm off to +VMware. They are announcing new Cloud Foundry stuff this morning. So, you'll probably see some tech news from the folks in this circle.2012-04-11 16:01:035005137103

Meilani MacDonald1,136So you wanna hangout?I love the hangouts feature and am always looking for more resources of where to find good hangouts, especially ones oriented to business networking. Lo and behold, today I found a shared circle called "great people to hangout with." I added them all to the Hangout circle I already had going, and now I'm going to pass it along . I'm sorry to not post the credit where I found the circle I added today, but I could not find it again. If you want engagement, remember just adding people to your circles in hopes they will add you back isn't enough. Those with the most engagement are themselves engaging, posting and replying in comments. So be engaging :)2012-03-23 21:53:31253554

Sebastian Hiernaux0Interesting Plusers CircleI usually don´t share my circles but this one contains around 200 people that I consider to be interesting, funny or both. Most speak English but there are a few Spanish speaking users in there as well. The interesting part is I know none of them personally (those would go in my friends or colleague circles) but are still interesting enough to follow.Hope you find them as interesting as me :)2012-03-21 22:22:07190217

I figured out #circle #sharing is a great thing that #Google #Plus has. Some one does the job and #categorize the #individuals in different circle and share it with friends. I have this #circle of 500 people in case you are interested to add them.2012-03-11 05:21:16500201
Susanne Ramharter3,133Fridays are for sharing circlesto the new people who have put me in their circles: many thanks! Some of you I have already had contact with, to the rest, I would like to reciprocate with this circle. It is hand-picked, and contains people who are funny, intelligent, knowledgeable, and engaged. You will find information about social media, google+, as well as cognitive science, books, travel and art, some agitation against encroaching on civil liberties (SOPA, ACTA, censorship - mostly from me ;-) inspirational as well as snarky things, and yes, the occasional cat. But everyone here is friendly and has great things to contribute, so feel free to share the circle if you like.Have fun!2012-03-09 15:46:5631329719

Hey Google +Hiroshi Lockheimer, why don't you just make the EU happy, now's your chance to act nice with us Europeans:
- Open Android development, show us dailies, let outsiders contribute, don't give preferential treatment to anyone anymore.
- Let anyone pre-install any of your apps without having to follow any of your rules anymore.
- Don't force your apps to be installed if partners don't want to pre-install them.
- Also let anyone ship Android TV and Chrome OS on any hardware, any SoC. Offer to help optimize and support Android and Chrome OS to any SoC that is powerful enough.
- Announce automatic revenue share for any hardware maker making Android and Chrome OS devices. Pay hardware makers their fair share according to how much you monetize those devices!
- Suggest BingOS, YahooOS, YandexOS, BaiduOS, YunOS, WechatOS, all shipments of Android or Chrome... more »

$100 Pipo X7 Intel Mini PC Pipo shows their X7 TV Box which they say is getting a lot of traction at the moment, from people who want a cheap Intel x86 based desktop. It uses the Intel Atom Z3736F processor with 2GB RAM runs Windows 8.1. It is selling for about $100 in China as the retail price. The price exported to other countries may be a bit different. Pipo founder Ben Lai tried to do this project 15 years ago, but the hardware was too expensive costing more than $200-$300, now he says that the ecosystem is better for this product to become popular. They are considering to dual-boot Android or perhaps ship it running Chrome OS, as the Windows licence is about $25.

You can read more about it at http://pipo.com.cn/product.php?id=157

Governments buying Apple products for kids is just wrong. Let the private schools waste their money on ipads if they want. Public school kids should all be using much better value Chromebooks and if also a tablet then let it be a sub-$200 Android tablet! Though there isn't any sunlight readable tablet display good enough for kids learning I think. Unless you think them starring into a backlight for reading is a good thing for them.

Also host all the apps for Android and Chrome OS in a way that doesn't lock consumers into your pocket in any way and promise that your goal isn't to profit from app stores (which you don't profit from anyway!) but mainly that you just care to profit when users use your services because users think your services are the best! It's time for the EU to convince Google to open Android development with real-time daily updates that all can see and contribute to. And Google absolutely needs to remove all their bad requirements for how Google services and apps can be bundled of on Android devices. Google doesn't need to police any minimum requirements for Android, they can certify devices, but they cannot prevent anyone from pre-installing Google Play, Gmail, Chrome, Google Maps and whichever other Google app that users want to pre-load and use on any certified or not-certified Android device. Anti-competitive behavior by Google with Android must stop too. Google has been preventing alternative app marketplaces in Android, alternative Maps, alternative Email, alternative Search, Browser, etc http://www.zdnet.com/article/eus-three-gripes-with-android-what-you-need-to-know/

I've been saying it a lot, Microsoft to make Bing OS using an Android fork and Bing OS using Chromium OS, why haven't they done this for years already? Just one detail needs confirmation through EU lawsuit, Google must agree to let them install any Google apps too that consumers want such as Google Play, Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube and whatever else.

$149 Hisense RK3288 Chromebook Hands-on Multi-Tab Web Browsing Test Here's some Web browsing and keyboard typing speed/accuracy test, I load a few random websites on the press room wifi featuring some smooth two-finger scrolling and clicking (consider trade show's thousands of people creating a bit of interference affecting the speed maybe a bit). The Hisense RK3288 Chromebook is one of the world's best value laptops at $149 I think, with I think the best mousepad among the $149 RK3288 Chromebooks (requires least/best pressure to click it seems) and the exterior design of the Hisense with some kind of granular texture I think is the nicest to handle and hold. But the Haier has a preferable matte display compared to the glossy display that I have seen on all the other RK3288 Chromebooks. But the Haier has a preferable matte display compared to the glossy display that I have seen on all the other RK3288 Chromebooks. While the idea of 4GB RAM may sound appealing, even if that increases the price by something like $20 (if they make such 4GB options available), maybe one can also consider that RAM usage on this RK3288 Chromebook, and RAM usage on Chrome OS in general, may be something that Google and Rockchip have been tweaking and optimizing alot, and it's something that is always improving with the automatic and regular software updates that we can expect to be sent out by Google to these. Please understand that I do not believe in running certain browser benchmarks to measure the usability/speed and performance of real user web browsing. To do an optimal benchmark, someone with high-speed cameras should measure how long it takes certain novice and advanced users to do a whole range of things on the web. To me the performance seems extremely good and satisfactory. But of course I would like to have one of these and to be able to use them as my main laptop, to see if it feels like the 32bit RK3288 ARM Cortex-A17 quad-core can power all my web browsing needs! Imagine a smooth enough performance already achieve, how extra smooth the performance may be when Rockchip releases perhaps a next generation Chromebook optimized 64bit processor! Using the newly announced ARM Cortex-A72 perhaps! Check back also for my tests of the RK3288 Chromebooks by Asus and Haier.___

Rockchip RK3288 Chromebooks $149 Hisense, Haier and $169 Asus Rockchip shows their super cool new $149 Chrome OS Chromebooks on their RK3288 quad-core ARM Cortex-A17 with ARM Mali-T764 GPU. The performance seems very smooth (see my other separate Hands-on Multi-Tab Web Browsing Test videos with each of the Chromebooks). Rockchip has been working for more than the past year with Google's Chrome OS team to optimize and deliver an experience for Chrome OS on their RK3288 platform, stable enough for now launching massive mass productions with Hisense, Haier and Asus through big Laptop factories in Taiwan and China. They would like to see big volumes shipped, possibly more than 10 million units shipped, now available for pre-order the Haier RK3288 Chromebook for $149 at http://amzn.to/1yrxBY2 and the Hisense RK3288 Chromebook for $149 at http://walmart.com/ip/44389793

RK3288 Chromebooks are awesome! Check back for my videos on http://ARMdevices.net!!!!

To see if/when Google/Rockchip opens Chromium OS/Chrome OS to all Shenzhen makers to follow, I expect $49 Chromebits and $99 Chromebooks before the end of the year, I expect ARM Chromebook sales to overtake Windows Intel Laptop sales wherever it'll be available. 13.3" with 4GB RAM matte display would be nice at sub-$149. A low power cheap sunlight readable display to double battery life would be also nice!

Google to enable "I want a job" feature on all smartphones, could put homeless people to work, could radically increase productivity and happiness throughout society. Getting things done and activating and moving people who want to be activated and moved. And most importantly not take too large a share (I think less than 5%) in the transactions all the money should go directly to workers of all kinds and skills directly. When implemented correctly this will be the killer app of the smartphone.

Will Intel manage to price their next generation x86 at MediaTek-like levels and will they really be able to keep design houses and factories interested if they stop subsidizing them, if they stop dumping the price and giving away their CPUs for free, giving factories PCB designs for free (reference design based), PCB and tablet productions subsidized, marketing subsidized, software development subsidized and etc? What is Intel's real potential market share in tablets and smartphones when they stop this subsidy? And why doesn't Intel just make more ARM devices in and out of their Fab like they did the Intel/Rockchip XMM6321 dual-core ARM Cortex-A5 that I filmed here: http://armdevices.net/?s=XMM6321___

$199 is a great price for Acer Chromebook 13 on Nvidia Tegra K1, this has been my main laptop for the last few months and it's awesome! I like 1366x768 for the longer battery life (13+ hours!) and for a more normal pixel density for web browsing and a better price compared to the FHD, 4GB RAM may have been nicer but I manage with 2GB RAM for all my video-blogging work.

ThinFilm Printed Electronics NFC Smart Labels for Internet of Things Thinfilm is a Norway-based company focused on expanding the traditional Internet of Things into a much broader Internet of Everything using the benefits of printed electronics. Thinfilm’s NFC Barcode and Smart Label product platforms use 13.56MHz Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to communicate from Thinfilm labels (placed on everyday things, at the item level rather than the box/palette/case level) to NFC capable devices, including smartphones and industrial readers. The 128-bit NFC Barcode is manufactured on Thinfilm’s printed-dopant polysilicon (PDPS) manufacturing platform, which enables high-performance transistors capable of handling wireless communication and NFC frequencies and data rates. The payload consists of a mix of fixed ID ROM bits, which cannot be electrically modified for security purposes, and dynamic bits that can the assigned to sensors. Thinfilm recently announced OpenSense technology, which transmits information about the state of a seal (factory sealed or previously opened) to a smartphone. This is being demonstrated in Barcelona in the form of a Johnnie Walker whisky Smart Bottle, which can communicate a unique identification number and dynamic sensing data to a smartphone. The OpenSense technology can lead to improved consumer engagement and can be used to verify authenticity of the underlying product while the seal is still intact. Next, Thinfilm’s temperature sensing Smart Labels integrate batteries, sensing circuitry, optional visual printed electrochromic displays, and NFC wireless transmission function into a single self-contained smart sensing system. These systems use NFC to tell a smartphone or other compatible device whether a food or pharmaceutical shipment stayed within specified temperature limits or whether it became too hot or too cold during transport. That simple data can help caretakers, retailers, and supply chain partners to make smart decisions by providing a real time indication of the temperature behavior (within limits vs. exceeded limits), and the big data pushed to the cloud with every interaction will help brand owners and others to make smarter business decisions based on trends captured by thousands or even millions of units active at any point in time. Japanese and Taiwanese LCD makers require Government's help to survive because they forget to use mega Smartphone profits to subsidize their displays, they're just being lazy! Why doesn't Sharp sell Crystal X phones everywhere in the world at $299 (50% profit margin) they'd just sell 50 million of those yearly they'd be making $7.5B profits from that one phone model, enough to fund any display technology be it IGZO, flexible OLED, 4K, 8K and whatever else Sharp would like to mass manufacture! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtG9AYd1haw

It should be enough with people using Google services more with Chromebooks, Google doesn't need to charge any Chromebook admin license. ARM64 Open Laptop Project by Vero Apparatus http://vero-apparatus.com is trying to design the worlds most powerful ARM Powered Laptop, powerful enough for software developers at Linaro to use ARM Laptops for their ARM related software development. The open source hardware and software will address the concerns that many people have about proprietary products, and provide the most transparent assurances about absence of security vulnerabilities.

The ARM64 Open Laptop concept was announced in an ad hoc session at DebConf 2014 in Portland, Oregon, where over a dozen interested developers gathered at fairly short notice. They approved the concept and decided on some of the things to do next. The idea is to produce a small quantity (say 100) of replacement motherboards physically compatible with a laptop model that is already popular with developers. Lenovo or HP might have suitable chassis models. The Lenovo X220 is a good candidate but Vero Apparatus is open to alternative proposals. The design will re-use an existing case, SATA drive, display, battery, keyboard, touchpad, webcam, speaker and microphone to reduce development cost.

The main processor will probably be an AMD Opteron A1100 system-on-chip code named "Seattle". In short, this has four or eight 64-bit Cortex-A57 cores, supports up to 128GB RAM, SATA and LAN. Being a server chip it lacks video, audio and USB, so either those must be added to the motherboard or another, more versatile chip must come along soon. Hardware choices will opt for longer battery life rather than 3D graphics performance.

Debian GNU/Linux is the default OS and distribution choice but Open Source implies freedom for the user. UEFI is the preferred firmware architecture, realistically in the form of Tianocore EDK2.
