Depressing hours in Hebron
In this picture we are standing very close to an outpost. Our guide from Hebron somehow managed all the time to involve people into discussions. Topic of this conversation were examples of palestinian and israeli settlers violence. Like the an Israeli settler and member of the far-right Israeli Kach movement, opened fire on unarmed Palestinian Muslims praying inside the Ibrahim Mosque … read on: http://bit.ly/Fz34M or http://bit.ly/gHkkoz
Standing there right in the middle was totally weird and was the topping of the cake after wandering around in this ghost town kinda city center … I believe it is not difficult to discern looking at the faces of my fellow friends.

Depressing hours in Hebron
Hebron is the largest city in the middle of the West Bank (30 kilometers south of Jerusalem) and pilgrimage for the Jews, Christians and Muslims.
It is also famous for the first Israeli settlements and the only one right in the heart of a Palestinian city.
In this picture you can see the small wall that separates section H1 from section H2. The first, H1, came partially under the control of Palestinian security forces and mainly comprises the suburbs of the city. The other, H2, came under full Israeli control. This includes the city center, the market and the Old City.
Walk to the left an you will have to enter two metal detector to go to the Abraham Mosque or walk left (if you are allowed to) and Cave of the Patriarchs.
Not particularly a great photograph, but it shows that border and therefore important to understand... more »

160,000 Palestinians in the main city of Hebron. And near 1,000 of Israeli settlers who live in the city center (old city) and a garrison of more than 2,000 Israeli occupation forces soldiers to defend them.
Hebron is subject to a special agreement, known as the Hebron Agreement, which has divided the city was into two parts - under Palestinian or Israeli control.
Currently Hebron's city center for palestinians, many of Palestinian houses in the old city of Hebron took and closed around 80 shop or markets by settlers and protection and supported by the Israeli army.... more »

Floating, Dead Sea - En Gedi

Mea Shearim, in Jerusalem, is an ultra-orthodox neighborhood known for its strict adherence to traditional ultra-orthodox Jewish customs, including modesty for men and women. Signs posted at entrances to the neighborhood read in Hebrew and English: “To women & girls who pass through our neighborhood. We beg you with all our hearts. Please do not pass through our neighborhood in immodest clothes. Modest clothes include: closed blouse with long sleeves, long skirt – no trousers, no tight-fitting clothes. Please do not disturb the sanctity of our neighborhood, and our way of life as jews commited to G-D and his Torah."
And that’s why we went there in jeans long sleeved shirts and we even wore hats ...
