Savages - "I Am Here" (live at Electrowerkz)...
#musicmonday
These 4 punk-rock girls has kicked themself up on the very very very top of my personal Roskilde Festival poster. There's too little exciting new real rock around these days, and it is far from every year I hear such a convincing new name. I hope that the festival considers putting #Savages on Arena or similar sized scene. Even if they are not that big yet, I could easily see them getting it before we enter July. I would really hate to be forced to stand outside a jam-packed tent when they play. Get "Silence Yourself", there's some really great stuff on their debut album...

Noooooooooo!
Google will close Google Reader!
Why Google? Why?...
I know that for a lot of people social sites like Google+, Twitter and (ydrk) Facebook has replaced the need for a dedicated rss feed reader. But I just have so many feeds and need a way to organize, prioritize and administrate all my feeds and posts in a way I just can't get on any of the social sites. Besides a lot of the feeds I'm following I just can't see ever come to a social site (comment-feeds, customized feeds, etc.)
Really, am I SO old-fashioned still using a RSS reader? :-(

As promised, I compiled a list of tips and tricks for creating great photo spheres. Here it is formatted document:

Here the the document inline as well (though it's better if you read the above document)
Tips for Creating Great Photo Spheres
by Minh T. Nguyen
I’ve been taking a lot of photo spheres (the Android feature of taking true 360 degree panoramas) and have become decently good at it (here is a collection of my best). Here are some tips of creating great photo spheres (in no particular order). Do you have any great tips? Add them as a comment.
Before the shoot
Shoot when no one is around. A static environment with less people is always preferred than when you have lots of people around. That means waking up early to go to the p... more »

Another Photo Sphere...
Quebrada Valencia, #Colombia . Relaxing at a nice waterfall and pool.
I'm a little early, but tomorrow it is #waterfallwednesday ;)
Photo Spheres never seem to come out technical perfect. And especially people and other moving objects are troublesome. Still, I find this #photophere toy is great fun! :)

My first Photo Sphere...
This is my first #photosphere (worth sharing).
Plaza de los Coches, #Cartagena , #Colombia .
I used my Samsung Galaxy S II for this, running plain vanilla non-rooted Samsung Touchwiz Android 4.1.2 stock rom, using a patched version of the camera from Android 4.2. How to install that, is described below. Does NOT require root on #SGS2 !
How to get Photo Sphere camera on a plain vanilla non-rooted Samsung Galaxy S II...
I have successfully installed the camera from Android 4.2, on my non-rooted SGS2 with 4.1.2 firmware. It was surprisingly easy, even for one like me who has never ever done anything "dirty" like this with my phones before:-)
I basically followed the guidelines on

If you have followed me since autumn, you might have seen me posting #Iceland photos from a trip I did together with 7 other amateur photographers in the beginning of September. Maybe you would think that photos from all the photographers probably look very much the same, visiting the same spots at the same time. But then you definitely haven't seen +Malte Brandenburg's long exposure work...

Ghana 2006. I first saw these women and children doing the laundry in the beginning of a hike up to the beautiful Wli Falls in Volta Region. But I didn't take the picture until we returned 4½ hours later, and they still hadn't finished their work... Photo taken from a bridge across the river.

Kiss Kiss Kiss - "In it deep"...
It's getting a little late here, but it is still #musicmonday ...
This is the first single from the Danish bands second album. They are definitely trying to find their own style on this, and while I'm not quite sure of what I think about the album as a whole yet, I absolutely love the this track and the "staccato guitar riffs" driving it...

Sometimes amateurs get lucky...
You know BBC and others spend many months, maybe years, in the bush to get those extraordinary dramatic moments in their wildlife documentaries - but sometimes ordinary #safari tourist are lucky too. Maybe even more... This (at least?) 5 years old amateur #video are still one of my favorites. I wish it was, but it is not my work. Just posting it for the enjoyment of #AfricanTuesday followers...
Features buffaloes, lions, crocodiles and an unexpected winner...
(And I still have a lot of African photos in my "drawer" I want to post some day, but nothing this spectacular...)

No USB Host "On-The-Go" support on Nexus 4?...
I really want my next phone to be a +Nexus and the headset jack on my SGS2 is broken. The Nexus 4 has no slot for my 64GB MicroSD card stuffed with music and the battery is not replacable, but though annoying limitations, I was considering ignoring them and purchase a Nexus 4 anyway. But now I also learn that there's no USB host OTG support... And while no official news yet, it sounds like it's a hardware problem and not something that will be fixed in a future firmware upgrade. So no uses like https://plus.google.com/u/0/105584766690422580666/posts/LuNqDY3Z7vX with a LG Nexus 4. Looks like I should just get that minijack plug repaired on my SGS2 instead...

A walk in the countryside...
Most of the time, the weather was a bit grey and rainy on our recent trip to #Iceland . Especially the one full day I had in the very colorful and varied landscapes of #Fjallabak Nature Reserve and #Landmannalaugar . Most of the group stayed a couple of days more here and had apparently beautiful weather the following days, but other plans forced some of us to skip the last days. Definitely an area I would like to return to and explore further some day - and preferable without near all-day rain (This was also the day where the camera just stopped working in the afternoon due to all the rain and humidity I had exposed it for).

DSLR Gear No Idea
He he... I do recognize some types in this, just hope nobody thinks they recognize too much of me :-)
The video is actually a commercial for the #Sony #mirrorless #NEX cameraline. And talking about that, #Metabones has just announced a lens-adapter for NEX cameras allowing newer #Canon EF lenses to be attached and used with fully functioning autofocus. This does make Sony NEX cameras an interesting option if I should go mirrorless one day:

Skógafoss and the double rainbow...
Looking back I think I could have got more out of this scenery. I think I was so amazed that I half-stopped thinking creatively and just stood and took some pretty ordinary snapshots. No, don't get me wrong. I definitely don't think this is a bad picture. And it actually pretty well shows what we saw that day. It's just that I can't help thinking that it was the perfect occasion to do something more exceptional. Jesper was obviously thinking differently. Here people are watching Jesper hunting some special shot in the mist under the rainbows. I think he still owes us showing what he found in there :-)
On the other hand, I took quite a lot of photos here. Maybe I just have to study them a bit closer later, and I'll find the more alternative ones... :-)
