+Khrystiane Friedli has created a beautiful video about the third HWSI book "How We See It...the nature of our worlds" and the Charity Print sale that co-incides with the book's release.  Yesterday I received my prints from the Charity Print Sale, and they are wonderfully printed by Bay Photo. Today I received my copies of the books from Blurb books, and they are beautifully printed.  Thank you to all 73 ladies involved in this third book, and the over 120 ladies who have been involved in the various HWSI projects over the past year.

Mother's day should be everyday, not just celebrated once an year with gifts. Mothers should be treated with respect, even when sometimes she drives us crazy with so much care. Mothers should be acknowledged everyday. Remember that she waited for months for you to be born and after that she looked after you when you were sick and did everything that is possible to help and give you a good life. She always tries to give you the best considering her limitations because she is a human being with good qualities and flaws like everybody else. Therefore today we shouldn't celebrate just mother's day but another day that your mother love you unconditionally. I am fascinated by people's handwriting and I truly miss the time when people use to write letters to each other. Nowadays, writing letters is almost an ancient art form, since computers have grown in popularity. I also love technology, really love it but I miss receiving and writing letters because it is much more personal. I have boxes of written letters from family and friends and this is my treasure. :) 
I found this torn envelope on the floor and it all came to my mind all the good memories. I live in Toronto, Canada and I am happy that people still send letters to each other. :) 
I challenge all of you to write a letter and send it to someone special. :)

Sometimes life throws at you a lot of tough turns and you feel like your heart was crumpled and thrown just like a letter. I am sure you remember feeling like that sometimes and it was not good but I know it made you stronger. I am not talking just about love in a romantic way but "love thy neighbour" way. Society is losing their moral values and every time I see the news I really want to run to La la land and stay there.

About two years ago I happened across this lady, this is Vivian Maier, a nanny who lived in Chicago but secretly her real talent was photography. For over 50 years she would spend all her spare time taking and developing photos, no one knew this until after her death when over 100,000 of her images were uncovered. I soon became obsessed with Vivian as I still am and for fun I asked my Instagram buddy's if they thought they could re-create a Vivian self portrait, I was expecting a few to try but instead I got over 1000 images back. I'm going to start The Vivian Maier Project here and if any of you would like to try please do, all you have to do is get as close to what Vivian did , just tag them #vivianmaierportrait Gav. http://www.vivianmaier.com/

I'm sharing today my selection for the #plusonecollection2012  +Ivan Makarov 

I chose a picture of our cat Mishka because she means the world to me. 
Before moving to Canada I had little to no contact with cats and when I met her it was love at first sight. I always loved animals but throughout my life I had contact with dogs the most. Cats are very different then dogs and because of that I had to learn how to play with her while becoming calm and assertive. She helped me adjust to life here in Canada and I will be forever grateful for it. She was a PURFECT companion. :)  I selected to photograph her nose because it reminds me of a heart, full of love, full of hope. 

Last year was a challenging one to all of us and I hope the New Year bring us peace and happiness.

*Shattered Dreams (A Million Tears Left Behind…)*

Exactly one year to this date I was flying high… Memories of a recurring dream from my childhood filled my mind. The grass was greener and my spirit soared higher and higher with each passing day that brought me closer to my dream trip. The people around me, nature itself, the whole world seemed brighter and lighter. The prospect of things to come was a beautiful one…

The trip came and went in a blink of an eye… Along the way there were some minor hiccups but I also found answers to questions I didn’t even know I had left unanswered through the years; suddenly all seemed worthwhile. It was the end of January 2012 and I was so happy to share this newfound knowledge with many of my friends.
