I am honored and thrilled to announce that I have been chosen and accepted to be represented by the Agora Art Gallery in New York City, New York for the next 18 months. I will be hanging in their gallery, showing on their websites as well as in publications.

One of my favorite things to do during the Holidays is look for my Christmas card for next year. I am thinking this is the one. Taken at my home of my tree with reflections from a mirrored three shelve wall hanging in the background.

I have an amazing (or so I think) idea that I want to get started business wise, I have VERY limited income, but I am pretty sure I have most of the equipment to get this ball rolling. My biggest hurdle at this point is funds and location (yeah, I know, so does everyone else). My question to everyone out there is, where is the best place to start asking for help. Loans are out of the question, family is out of the question. Someone suggested Small Business Admin. Is there some paperwork I should have in hand before stepping up to the plate?

Been a lover of photography since I was a wee girl of 15, over 40 years now. I shoot what I love, anything and everything, Macro being my greatest love, but I can be found anywhere with my Canon in tow. I have shown my work, published a couple pieces and sold even more. I am always begging to learn more as all my knowledge has come from the World and other photographers and just by doing. So there is much I have to learn. I have had a few mentors, one of whom I am sure you all know, and if not, you should check him out, +John De Bord , a great photographer and friend.
I am happy to join this community, to learn more, to share. Welcome to 2013 !!!

I have a question, probably a basically stupid one, but one I need an answer to, as I have just started delving into slideshows.
If you wish to add music to your slideshow, photos belong to you, how are you able to add music if you are not musically incline? I love so many songs, and so many would work wonders with my work, but I don't wish to get into trouble using music (songs I own by purchased CD's, burned to my computer then added to the slideshow) if this could be perceived as copy write infringement. any ideas or suggestions..ie giving credit by mentioning said artist name, where I got the music from...

With Christmas just a week away, one of my favorite things to do is hit the shops with my camera and find pretties to shoot for my cards for next year. This was taken in a little shop up in Estes Park last year. I loved the colors of the glass and the way the lighting turned everything almost sepia. Merry Christmas all !!

Wild Animal Sanctuary. this guy allowed eye contact. Wolves, Tigers, Lions, Bears, so many more. Now have a safe haven and a loving home. A favorite place to get close to wildlife and support a good cause all at the same time !!

I am happy to have been invited into this group. I am a Colorado native, 55 years now. I have been back in the city for 7 years after living in Gunnison for over 25 years. Have a HUGE favor to ask here...
My Senior High School student has a senior class project that he has chosen as "Life on other Planets". Due to the fact we know no Astrobiologists personally, and he is in need of Interviewing one either in person or via email, I had high hopes of seeing if anyone here might be interested or know of anyone who would be. It is important that the Astrobiologist be accredited, (he will need to investigate credentials) as this is for his Senior Class Project!! He needs to have contact with that person no later than this Sunday Evening (October 28, 2012). Please IM me ASAP ! !

Our snow gave way to some pretty scenery this morning. I am not real sure i like the way this turned out. Not even close to how beautiful it was in person. I must blame the lighting, as it was changing so fast with the storm. Still a pretty site, I think.

Anyone who lives in the Wheat Ridge, Arvada, Lakewood (and general vicinity) Guess What !!!! Mike's Camera is moving into the old Wolf Camera store in the 38th & Wadsworth Shopping Mall !!! they are saying they could open as soon as November 1st, possibly November 8th !! As soon as I know for sure will let you all know !!! Finally, a camera store that CARES !!!!!

Another Bucket List item in the books. My 650-1300mm Bower is getting a workout. My Hubby is the greatest for giving me the lens for my birthday. He is MY man in the moon..if you look close you can almost see him :)

Ok folks, no guts, no glory..Star light, Star bright..took this this morning around 5:45 am hoping for a few meteors.. saw around 5 with the naked eye, just not fast enough with the camera...YET !!! am thrilled with this shot though..tell me what cha think :)

This one was shot with the 650-1300mm lens..have come to the decision that two tripods are needed when using this lens, one for the lens, one for the camera. Still, a great shot I think for a newbie with this lens. She ended up dealing with 3 Crows, all of whom eventually got "The Look" from Mom, then flew off. I am happy !!!

I realize this isn't this greatest shot, but I was completely caught off guard on this one. I was out testing my new 650-1300mm, and just switch over to my 300mm when I saw this Bald Eagle soaring over the water, quick focus and fast shooting. Damn it, I am thrilled !!! One more off my Bucket List !! Be nice but..BE Happy for me, my right arm still is messed up, and those 650-1300 mm are no light lens :) No idea where we were even, some river up Cripple Creek area, I think???

a while back a gentleman here had a dog in pretty bad shape and some friends posted a place for donations to help with the vet bills. The dog (at the time) recovered as was/is doing better. Does anyone remember the story and the gentleman's name? I need to get in touch with him if at all possible.

Fog on Fog..Colorado is on Fire with Colors this year. the ground was covered with frost which caused a fog bank once the Sun started to warm the air. Peak to Peak Highway.

Mamma Eagle watches over her nest. Although quite a distance away, my first wild Eagle, a moment I will never forget. May I be lucky enough in the future to see her again at a closer range, but if not, I can mark this off my "bucket list". I am beyond thrilled!
