I'm looking for a network controlled A/B switch. Basically it's little more than a Network Interface Card that's controlling a simple circuit. The idea is to plug this device into an open port on my router. The device is automatically assigned an IP address via DHCP, then I can control the state of the device's circuit by hitting the IP with my browser or ping. Seems like this would be a simple, cheap device that could have many uses. Anyone know of such a thing in market now?

Wish I could get a single daily index update from my friends who post WAY TOO MANY TIMES. Right now I can only mute him, but I still want to see his status updates. The problem is he averages about 15-20 updates a day, but maybe 1 is interesting to me. I guess I'll mute if it comes to that. Or maybe he'll read this and slow it down a little.

Gentoo has an online package browser for it's repository; Portage. I'm trying to find an up-to-date package browser for Debian/Ubuntu Synaptic package manager and having trouble...has anyone run across this?
