After 6 years, we have had to let go of our great little friend Twinkle. She has a great little friend, but with our hectic schedule she was not getting the love and attention she deserved. We found a beautiful family to take her and we thank them forever.....She's making someone else happy right now :)

Back in the new york groove - been checking out +Chrysta Rae's Photography Scavenger Hunt and it has really got me inspired to shoot. Not sure whether I'll be quick enough to get in the next Scavenger Hunt, but I'm gonna try!

7 months ago I was working my arse off to get shots of my newborn little boy. I was so scared I wouldn't get "the shot". Well after an hour of shooting and not getting what I wanted, my amazing wife took this shot - It now lives in a frame on our coffee table with the inscription "My Dad" - I could not love it any more!

So world, I have been away from G+ for about 7 months and this is why - our amazing son Miles Terry Donohue. I've been dedicating my time to him and I love it. 7500 photos so far and there is no slowing down and to this point we haven't put them on the net.....but how can you not be proud!

+Chrysta Rae I will get back to Scavenger Hunt soon, just teaching him to swim :)

New Years with James Squier and Pulp Fiction - best year of my life so far courtesy of Sarah Donohue and our beautiful son Miles. So much to be thankful for and so much to look forward to - Bring it on 2013!!!

(Apologies to +Chrysta Rae  and the +Chrysta Rae's Photography Scavenger Hunt  people. I have dropped the ball in spectacular fashion and got nothing, nada, zero! I promise to work harder and smarter in the future but for now I have a little boy to look after :)

Here's an idea:

let's buy christmas presents from small local businesses and self-employed people. For example: from the neighbour who sells online, the local crafts-person who makes jewellery, the girl who is a stunning florist, the local gift store, your friend who runs a shop, the local bakers who do handmade cakes, buns and chocolates or the guy who has a stall at the market, the guy who runs a cafe or saloon ;)
Let's make sure that the money goes to individual people and not to multinational companies. This way more local people will have a better christmas.

For anyone who has been following over the past 10 days, you know what this is all about. 
I give 10 items to 500 photographers of every level,
I give them a month to shoot their take of the item
I collect all images, make them anonymous and have them judged.
I then present each album to the world! (or... my G+ piece of it anyway!)

What is the photography scavenger hunt?
Only the most fun you can have with your camera!!

I host this event every other month for anyone of any level of photography to participate.
I open the game up to 500 Photographers
I give you 10 items to shoot 
I give you one month to shoot and enter your photos.
Then I have them judged by amazing photographers

Just printed out 200+ 6x4 photos - I've never really printed photos before. Just wanted to see how they look and man, I'm hooked, but I need to go bigger. I've spent so long looking at photos on computer screens up close, I never really realized just how good they look printed! 

I also jumped on a #snapfish  deal and got a 30cmx30cm canvas done and it looks great!

If you don't print your photos, give it a go, you probably won't regret it!

So #chrystaraesscavengerhunt  people, and of course +Chrysta Rae I was not quite focused in this hunt, and here's why....

On 19/09/2012 we were blessed and humbled with the arrival of our amazing son, Miles Terry Donohue. Healthy and happy, we decided to give him a little break from the internet, he'll get enough when he's older. 

He is named after my favourite jazz musician, Miles Davis and the man I most admire in this world, my father Terry. 

Photos will come in time, but we're just getting used to being parents at the moment :) ( Hey hunters, you may get a glimpse!)

Thanks to all our family and friends for their support and best wishes, he is one well loved little man.

Hey Apple people, I'm running Aperture 3.2.4 and Logic 8 (the most important applications I'm using) on Snow Leopard and I have a free upgrade to Lion (not Mountain Lion). I have a bit of spare time so I'm wondering if anyone has any issues with Lion now or is it pretty stable? Running 2010 MBP and 2011 iMac

Also, anyone have experience with increasing the HDD size in an iMac? I know it's a complicated process but local computer place can do it - I left it too late for Applecare so I'm on my own now!
