FIA finds fault with their engine mapping suggesting that Red Bull uses illegal torque maps. Technical delegate Jo Bauer put forward his findings after Saturday's qualifying session, claiming that both cars are in breach of the regulations.
The effect of the strange looking torque maps is that maximum power is not delivered in the mid RPM ranges suggesting that the exhaust flow is used to influence the aerodynamics. Strictly forbidden after last years 'exhaust-blown diffuser' exploit of the rules.
Sanctions could range from grid penalties to exclusion of this race!
