Controlled Experiment - A month of glitch

I have +Charles Strebor to thank for taking a comment I made on his work into the practical world of mobile artistry. I had described his fine work as a controlled experiment, and here we are.
This image is a combination of a man I sat next to on the train and a group of old crosses in a museum from the Viking conversion.
The backstory (following Charles' lead here) is to take sixty (60) images, combine the first and last in layers. These then get removed so that a new pair of random images get combined the next day. Thus a total of thirty (30) images, one a day for the month of June. After layering, I run the image through some random effect and layer THAT too :) We'll see how it goes.

This image is of a sailboat on the Stockholm archipelago and through the trees, combined with an image of a dove at the train station. Coincidentally, the bird lined up with the sailboat frame wise. The glitch app used was Imagica+.

Yeah I was tired for yesterday's Selfy Sunday.
So a couple of people asked about my selfy sunday image. The how to. Well here it is. I tell basically what it is I did in the captions to each picture in the G+ lightbox.
The whole process took place on my S3, using Snapseed, Pix, and PS Touch.

This image is difficult to describe. The first image, easy enough, is a cycling family stopping for ice cream. The second image... we were on a boat. My son went down to look at the waves the motor was generating. I took some pictures of the churning water. But I also took a picture (in this image) of the water and also the large window frame of the boat, which had a nice brass hook and string around it holding up the blind. The brass disappeared in the imaage, but the waves became clouds and the world indow fram, tilted 90º, is the stripe across the image.

Architecture
This series contains old and new, published and previously unpublished. Some of them are black and white, some of them color. Some are symmetrical, some not. Some are square, some are rectangle. All are images of structures, mostly buildings, built by human hands. All images are taken in either Munich, Germany, or Stockholm, Sweden. You are welcome to share the series.
All images shot using my Samsung Galaxy #S3. All images edited with +Snapseed (and some edited additionally with PS Touch). Enjoy.

Past Work
Was reminiscing on my creative process and journey. Here was an old piece of art from 1999 (my signature and date are in the linework). Line work, pattern, a distinct separation of color and black and white (though still intertwined), and a heavy focus on the gravity of elements. I miss those days. They were challenging in different ways than mobile photography has been. I was so young, and felt I knew what I was doing. Hindsight... I did not fully explore what I was exploring back then. So some aspects of it are an unfinished work. Wish I had more time... I barely feel I was good at it.

This image is a combination of two people walking opposite directions, overexposed and bathed in light, and a macro shot of a ping pong table net. The glitch layer was a blur filter to enhance the light. I found it very pleasing that the net divided them. The brightness of the yound man ensured that the net ended up behind him ;)

Nature - in mild color
I had published a landscape series in black and white some weeks ago entitled foothills. The Bavarian Alps were beautiful. But I couldn't see them in anything but monochrome. In the midst of these images I posted several nature scenes in color, which inspired several other works of more recent date. So I've put them together here for your enjoyment. All images were taken and edited on my S3, using Snapseed and PS Touch.

This was one of last year's Creative 366 Project images. I was directed to the album by a friend, and had a look at my old work to see how far I had come. Some of that work is still satisfying. This one makes me quite happy, as I achieved it quite early into my experience as a mobile photographer.

Wine Not?
The French weren't the first to make wine? Mon dieu! But as anyone who has sipped a Bordeaux, Champagne or Burgundy can tell you, the French got pretty good at it once they learned how. And thanks to some molecular archaeology, researchers can now confirm they picked up these skills as early as 425 B.C.

My only disappointment is the low resolution of the superPhoto app. I guess I have to tolerate it, me being on Android. Lots of things I tolerate.
