This is a sweet desktop player for Google Music. It was just updated to include the All Access features.

Just download from the mirror and unzip to a folder then create a shortcut on your desktop or wherever. I would also go into the options and uncheck the "use custom css" as this makes it look a little funky to me, but you may like the dark theme.

Handy #googlemusic  tip for all you music lovers out there.

If you click on the gear icon (settings) on the top right of your Google Music browser window and select "music labs" you will see an option to use HTML5 instead of Flash for Google Music.

Why is this important you might ask? Well..it'll prevent pesky skipping when loading up pages with youtube videos for one or other flash media that tries to mess with your sound stream.

Here at the hospital I work at we have young adults from Project Search volunteer in certain departments. We were lucky enough to score Liz, an 18 year old artist to help us with our IT work. She's been helping with imaging of computer and rebuilds, but her real passion is drawing. She also loves video games and sci-fi, which makes her an instant win in our department.

She's pretty creative and given some time she could turn this into something. What I can't show you is her MS Paint skillz, she haz dem.

What we've decided as a team is to get her a Wacom tablet with some software so that she can better her digital art skills. She doesn't know about it, but she'll be leaving us in June and we're going to present it to her.

Anyhow, thought I'd share! :D

New Hangouts

Until Google puts in some books for contacts, this is not going to work that well for a lot of people.  I dig the idea of being able to send someone a message when they're offline - but most people will want to know if they're AFK/DND/ETC first.

Needs more polish, the gmail chat/talk still works as it used to.

Metro Last Light has some severe stuttering issues on any video platform...which is a shame since it's actually a good story and a decently engaging game.

I got this email a couple weeks back that included this photo.... The beginning of Google! And look what they've turned it into.... Today, especially. There was no way we could have speculated all the changes that rolled out today. I'm really blown away. I only caught most of the keynote this morning, but I was continually amazed, presentation after presentation.

So now I'm playing around with all the newness. I love the Google+ update.... I like Hangout.... I actually kind of miss the white space... It was perfect for a chat box. But oh well. I am so floored by the new UI of Google+, I could care less about the white space. And I'm so excited to play around with all the other services!

You did good today, Google. Very good. I look forward to all the fun, new, amazing things in store!

Oh Logitech, what the fuck did you do to the G110 keyboard? Jesus H. Christ..is this your idea of a comparable replacement?

So you do away with the G110 and we get this keyboard which does not have

-Adjustable backlighting with more than 2 levels of brightness
-A shitload less programmable G-Keys
-No dedicated media keys, instead we have F-keys that double as media keys...FFS!
-Any sort of style
-No volume wheel :(
-No headphone/mic jack
-No USB port

Oh fuck it!

Screw you Logitech. I'll look elsewhere for gaming keyboards.
