Here's another one from the #photowalk in #Norrköping... 

All the buildings on the left side and a few on the right are old factory buildings from a massive textile industry dating back over 200 yrs.. 

In one way it's wonderful that they've taken care of everything and they are now office buildings but at the same time it would have been great to be able to go on some urban exploration shooting some old massive machines... :D

A photo from Saturdays photowalk in Norrköping about 200km south of Stockholm, Sweden... Went there with some photo friends to visit some other photo friends... :)
A total success I must say and I'll be going back there soon to shoot some more... I'll post some more later from the photowalk and you'll see why I want to go back..

Last one before bed.. :)
Gotta love the sunsets and blue hour this time of the year... 
It takes a good 1½ hrs for the sun to set and the blue hour seems to last forever.. :D
Pretty much the same as the last one, this just shows more of the Stockholm side... All the land you see here is more or less man made just for the new built houses.. Really impressed of the whole area actually but I wouldn't want to live there, even if I would get paid for it.. :) 

The little one you see to the left looking like she's going to freeze to death even though it was +15C is my little cutie wife +Sophia Ardne

Just this and one more for the evening before I head to bed.. 
This is shot on the "border" between Solna and Stockholm... With a view over both.. Solna to the right and Stockholm to the left.. :D

Gotta go up early tomorrow, My wife +Sophia Ardne and I are going down to a Photowalk in Norrköping https://plus.google.com/events/c3iguiusojtpvqfnt7l936brv4k?authkey=CMb745_a-tSpew
So we're leaving home at around 8:30 to pick two friends on the way.. It's about 240km one way so it takes about 2 hrs to get there.. 
Really looking forward to it and hopefully we all come home with lots and lots of wonderful photos. One thing is sure... we're going to have a wonderful time! :)

Here's another one from last monday's little walk around Karlsbergs Castle.. This is me trying to push the equipment as much as possible... :) Gotta try and see what the 50 f/1.2 and a 5DIII can do... And they can... :) But it's hard to keep the focus where you want it so I usually shoot in AI servo mode... :)

Normally I like change but what in the .... have +Google+ Developers done to the photos department of G+?? 
Totally lacking logic and way much more work to post an image than needed... 

Anyway... after that rant.. This is one of several images me and my wife +Sophia Ardne shot last monday evening..Just didn't feel like sitting at home so we went into Stockholm and walked around Karlbergs castle which actually is a trying facility for our army officers... 
More coming from there in a moment...

Yesterday me and +Björn Nihlén - NihlenofSweden went out and shot a local MX track... This track is much smaller than the last one we were on but it made it up with the speed the people drove and the air they got from the jumps...

Good evening!
Long time and not very much action on my page unfortunately.. 
But hopefully there'll be more posts coming in a more steady flow soon.. 
It's been a long winter.. :)

These shots are from a visit to a local track yesterday.. Not much action there unfortunately but got a few good shots at least.. 
Think the guys were tired from the race the day before.. :)

Got to try out my new combo with a new 70-200 2.8L II and 2x Extender which makes it to a 140-400 f5.6... 
The AF on the 5DIII still works almost flawlessly, a tad bit slower but harldy noticable.. I would guess hunting somthing fast and small as a swallow might be tough but anything bigger shouldn't a problem with that combo..

a unusually wonderful sunset this evening but being on my way home from work I hadn't any of my cameras with me and it was the best idea to stop in the middle of the road so.. :-)

Was out yesterday with +Sophia Ardne and +Björn Nihlén - NihlenofSweden and his wife and son for some cityscape shooting.. The weather really didn't want to play ball unfortunately but it did offer up this view of the difference between light and clouds.. The colors absolutely dies to the right under the thick clouds..

You know you've got to much equipment when the insurance company wants a photo of it all to believe you... :D Luckily it's pretty cheap to insure it.. about 30 bucks a month..

Do you have any special insurance for your equipment or just use the cover provided by your home insurance? If you even can do that outside Sweden.. :D

Yesterday me and +Björn Nihlén - NihlenofSweden went out to do some architectural shooting at Skokloster Castle (http://skoklostersslott.se/en)
But when arrived at the castle we saw a guy pushing a dirtbike trowards the water so being bikers our selves we had to check it out and find a goldmine.. :)
Lots of bikes playing around on the ice with 2.5cm (1") studs on the tires.. 
These guys and gals had almost as much grip as we do on street tires in the summer.. :D
Got around 250 photos of the playing and it was a blast.. . Going to post more as I edit them.. 

The first one I like almost the most 'cause of the flare in his rear view mirror..
Almost all shots are shot at 1/250 away from the light, 1/640 or 1/500 towards it.. and f/9 almost all the time..

Two more from last weekend.. 

The trees gets really beautiful when they're totally covered in ice.. It's actually not that common here as you might think.. You have to have a day with warm weather followed by a rapid drop in temperature, preferably below -10 or lower.. Then the moisture on the trees freeze on each little branch..

Went straight out in the woods hunting for a place with a view of he frozen sea yesterday.. Didn't take long to find this place fortunately.. 
Really wish I had brought the 16-35 or 8-15 fisheye, this is just a small piece of the view.. Should have brought something to sit on and the gas ktichen to make a cup of coffee as well... Really lovely place, no wind, all silent and really cold :)
Perhaps next weekend.. 

Hoping to post some more tomorrow.. Just need to finish editing them.

Good evening all plussers.. 

I haven't posted anything in several months unfortunately... 
Iv'e had a lot of things to do at work which killed some of the fantasy and creativity but most of the creativity and energy was lost when we spent all the energy available trying and hoping for a mini version of us, which unfortunately seems to be in vain.. It might still happen but it's not very likely.

Anyway, this photo is shot just a few kilometers from home and the "smoke" in the background making it all fuzzy is actually ice crystals from several snow makers at a ski slope about a kilometer to the left.. Think they put them on the "HIGHERthanHIGH"-setting when the temp dropped below -25C yesterday.. :)  
Love when the temp drops that much, everything get's crisp and quiet except the sound of your boots when you walk around..

In that case you probably remember the Barnacles hanging from the ceiling?? 
This place is full of them... Or perhaps old cables hanging down but they really remind me of that game and I have to check the ceiling on each one before I pass them... :) You might have to view the photo in full screen to see them though..

Good evening plussers!

Here's my first shot of many from an old factory in Spånga, Stockholm which I and +Björn Nihlén - NihlenofSweden went to Sunday afternoon.. It's a three story industry/office complex.. Unfortunately all the furniture and machines has been removed but this place has been totally bombed with graffiti and some really good ones... Unfortunately we got there a bit late for indoor shooting so the lack of light in there made it really hard to shoot so we're going back next weekend to do some more shooting... We were there for about 1½-2 hrs and we only got to scout like 25% of the site.. :)

It's not often I get to see an owl like this in the daylight.. 
Really wish I knew what kind of owl it is but unfortunately I have to say I'm not that good at naming birds.. Hopefully someone knows what it is called... 

Fortunately this one was so cool he sat there for almost 5 minutes which meant I had time to go and get my camera in the cabin, mount the 70-200,
walk up a little cliff and shoot over ten shots before he left... 
But obviously I REALLY need a 400mm+ lens 'cause this one is pretty much  cropped to 100%... :-/

Went to our country place in the Finnish archipelago Åland during the weekend to make it ready for the winter pulling up boats and stuff... 
but of course doing some shooting as well.. :) This is the last minutes of yesterdays sunset... 

it's a 5 exp HDR shot a f/11 to maximize the time which ranges from 30-2 seconds to flatten the water...

Good evening G+!
Hope everybody has had a nice day even though it's Monday... :)

This one is from last weekends little trip to Älvkarleby... Unfortunately this is the little stream.. The big one they (the Hydroplant company) only opens a few days during the summer... This one is used for salmons travelling upstreams... It was kinda fun to seem one jump here and there when you were standing in the stream... :)

This photo is a 5 exp HDR shot through a 3 stop ND filter..
There was no real reason to shot an HDR except for the water... With a 3 stop filter you get silky smooth water but blending the exposures actually brings out the smaller parts of the stream...

Good evening everybody! :)

This one is a little bit funny... Not the fact that I had to climb a long way on slippery rocks with camera gear and was a close on several occasions to take a bath... :)
No it's the fact that it looks like the rock I'm standing on is just above the water but in fact I'm about 1.5m over the water surface... :)
Didn't know it at the time but +Björn Nihlén - NihlenofSweden  actually took a shot of it... :)

This is a small part of the Älvkarlebyfalls where they actually grow and study salmon so it was kinda funny to stand in the stream and see them jump by... :)
The photo is actually made out of three 5 exp HDR's which then was focus stacked in PS...

Good evening everybody... 

I haven't posted anything in a few days but still been here checking out and +1 everybody's lovely photo.. 
Yesterday morning we (Me, +Sophia Ardne & +Björn Nihlén - NihlenofSweden) got up in the middle of the night and dragged our tired bodies to the car and drove to Älvkarleby (approx 170km)  to shoot a sunrise and a lot of water... :) 
We didn't have a chance to scout the area ahead so we had to do the scouting in the middle of the night and hope to find something..
The Merc has been places no Merc should ever be... :)
Being this strange start of a whole day of shooting I though I'd shoot the sunrise in a different way... :)

Huge world, tiny man

Good evening everybody! 
Tonight I give you this, the Atlantic Ocean...  
If you click on the image and view it in full size you'll see the fishing boat.. 
This is no small fishing boat.. It just looks like a little speck in the photo.. :)

The photo is a 5 exp handheld HDR just to get the structure in the clouds.. 
Which btw looks pretty much like a huge tsunami wave.. :)

In a Viking village you meet the strangest thing

Went to a large Viking village build around an impressive reconstruction of the Chieftain´s house in full size which in this case means 83 meters long..
Running around in the village I suddenly heard someone play a bagpipe and donw the road this thing comes... Totally impossible not to take a photo.. :)
