I didn't know that last year Seth McFarlane paid to have more than 800 filing cabinet drawers full of the personal papers and correspondences of Carl Sagan added to the Library of Congress.
And he just officially announced that Fox is going to run a 13 episode series update to Cosmos in 2014 that he's co-producing with  Carl Sagan's widow and collaborator, Ann Druyan, and it will be hosted by Neil DeGrasse Tyson.

I don't hate gays ..but completely understand the resistance to accepting homosexuals. However, it's the behavior/act that is appalling, especially when they want it taught in schools and want to normalize it when it is not normal behavior but a disorder. I can love the sinner, but not the sin.

Sadly the homosexual lobby got them to remove it from the DSM of mental disorders and this is the result since the 70's they have been pushing it down our throats with gay parades and rainbow flags, etc and now pushing it in schools by using 'anti-bullying' programs. I know it's been told before, but things are getting so bad that it's clear people have forgotten it.

The original version:
The ant busts his hump in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter the ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in the cold.  That's the real world.

As a sibling of a child with cerebral palsy it was my lot in gradeschool life to hear words like "retard" and "there's the sister of the monster". Kids can be cruel because they're not taught any better. Teach compassion. Please. 

This is so very sad. This young man had Autism and was shamed and ridiculed incessantly... then this happened... handed a bomb shaped like a golf ball specifically meant for him. Premeditated and cruel.

I am contacting you in regards to your new relevance algorithm. It is broken and everyone I am speaking to about it is saying is should be abolished quickly and mercilessly. 

I have a core group of about 80 people that make my G+ experience what it is. I always had these circles turned to max. 

Now I have to go looking for my best friends. They are no longer in my stream. You are deciding that I want to see post from everyone EXCEPT these people. 

Please stop trying to be FB. One "antisocial Network" is more than enough

I can't say enough about how fantastic his presence has been in recent months. He deserves the Order of Canada, certainly, but he also deserves international recognition. He's probably the first astronaut that's really managed to connect with everyone. Others have tried, and succeeded to varying levels, but +Chris Hadfield is an extraterrestrial superstar.

I'm sure you've all heard the joke about the little old lady at the front of the check out line that say "I have a coupon for everything!".  It's hard sometimes not to get upset at the person keeping you from doing Important Things(1).  But there is always a reason.  Usually one we can't see.

Something else I've learned over the years; acceptance.  Some things you simply can't change.  For those, you forgive, accept and move on.
