Finally retired this homescreen for something new. Running +Paranoid Android + Halo and using Buzz Launcher.

Side note: Annoyed that Google+ didn't display my photos in the order that I uploaded them. The last homescreen is displayed first, while the others are in order. Weird

This is the first feature from iOS 7 that I want Android to improve on. We already got the panoramic part. You just have to manually move it.

Loving beta update 1.5b4! It fixed the problem with extension icons not minimizing in small mode on the lockscreen. Been looking for this solution since I switched to Paranoid Android earlier this week.

Easy privacy, coming soon.

I'm working on a new feature that will hopefully make it's way into CM. It's called "Run in Incognito Mode". It's a simple privacy feature designed to help you keep your personal data under control.

I've added a per-application flag which is exposed via a simple API. This flag can be used by content providers to decide if they should return a full or limited dataset. In the implementation I'm working on, I am using the flag to provide these privacy features in the base system:

 * Return empty lists for contacts, calendar, browser history,and messages.
 * GPS will appear to always be disabled to the running application.
 * When an app is running incognito, a quick panel item is displayed in order to turn it off easily.
 * No fine-grained permissions controls as you saw in CM7. It's asin... more »

Commits are streamlined and squashed, should be merged in a few minutes easily. HALO is still in beta since support for TabletUI and PIE is unfinished, among other minor  things, but it's good enough for a release. 

As for the feature itself, I can honestly say it's been the most exciting Android project I've been involved in. I can think of absolutely zero reasons why anyone would dislike it in its current state. I sincerely hope you enjoy it, whatever rom you run.

I feel weird saying this, but I think I enjoyed the LG Optimus G Pro more than the Galaxy S4. The thing I think the Galaxy S4 has going for it – besides a crazy feature set – is how good it feels to hold in your hand.

After a few weeks testing the LG Optimus G Pro, I have to say its performance was 10xs better than my Galaxy Note 2. This phone is packed with a lot of power. Performance is nearly flawless. The screen is brilliant, the camera is amazing and I love using the LG keyboard.

I just wish it came with more style and a stylus. LG seriously needs to take some design cues from HTC or Apple.

I can't wait to switch to +Paranoid Android! I've been impatiently waiting to play with DashClock because it's not worth losing my S-Pen  functionality. HALO almost completely replaces multiwindow from TouchWiz and makes it worth switching. I'm going to miss using my S-Pen though.

Cover Photo Resize Tip (h/t  +Terrance Gaines )

"There's a crop trick that I used last night to revert back to a normal human-being size.

Essentially, you have to upload the photo as a cover, go back into your photos album & open the "Scrapbook Photos" album, crop the photo to the size you want (make sure you crop it full length), then change your cover photo to the cropped photo. " - +Terrance Gaines 

If Terrance's tip helped you reduce the size of your cover photo +1, reshare and show him some circle love. Dude is definitely worth circling! I reduced my G+ cover photo by nearly 50% (see pic)

Google really needs to do something about the redundancy of sharing images on your profile and in Google communities. It's silly that you have to share images twice in two separate places. On top of that, +1s on the post itself don't count towards the standalone image. Get it together Google!

Alright, it's official. I could spend all day "hanging out" with ya'll on Google+ thanks to the new redesign and that damn blue square that tells me when new posts are in my stream. Though funny enough no one hangs out in hangouts lol. 

I have work to get back to . Peace and have a productive day by GETTING THE FUVK OFF OF G+. :D

I purposely resize my Google+ browser tab to only show one stream. Sorry, but there's a reason I don't use Pinterest and I don't want to interact with G+ in the same way. I do like the new design/UI changes, but I'm not a fan of the new layout.

UPDATE Smarty pants in the comments showed me the "single stream" option under "more". Thanks guys!

A 16% drop in battery overnight with Wi-Fi turned on, but mobile data turned off! WTF?

I usually enable DS Battery Saver when I go to sleep, but this is ridiculous regardless! I didn't even use Google Maps yesterday and have no idea why the gallery would use so much battery either.

Yeah, I'm mad lol. Battery life on the Galaxy Note 2 is usually great, but this is not in line with that.

Elizabeth Warren's first stand-alone bill as Senator is awesome and provocative.

Senator Warren announced today that she's proposing a bill that will make it so students going to college can borrow at the same rate that Wall Street does. 

It's a bill that calls attention to the wild disparity between how Wall Street is treated and how the rest of us are, and Senator Warren's proposal is wild enough (0.75% for student loans!) to wake up the politicians who want to keep the status quo.

Even if the bill doesn't pass, by playing such a strong hand right at the outset Elizabeth Warren has already changed the discussion that's sure to ensue when student loan rates jump to 6.8% on July 1st. After Elizabeth Warren's call today for 0.75%, 6.8% seems totally unacceptable. That is how to lead.
