Street Photographers -- Be careful out there. Make your own determination after viewing the video (which doesn't really show what led up to all of this) as to what the heck happened here.
I used to photograph a lot on the streets of San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter (which is where this looks like it occurred). The incident happened back in January, but Carlos on Pixiq was writing about it due to the surfacing of the YouTube vid.

Tonight's dinner for the opening of the Olympics --
A Balkan-Meditteranean feast:
Clockwise from upper left: Homemade tzatziki; pita bread from local Alkhyam Bakery; greek salads with cucumber, kofinaki (Greek goat cheese feta), and kalamata olives; and the piece de resistance -- cevapi (Balkan skinless sausages made from ground pork, beef, plenty of paprika, grated onion and garlic, and pepper and seasoning salt) cooked on the grill.

For the past 3 years I have been taking documentary photographs of the Balkan Spring Festival held at the University of Chicago's International House. The Festival, an annual event since the 1960's, celebrates the dance, music, culture, and food of the Balkan countries and Eastern Europe. Each year, I compile the photographs into a documentary video with music and narration. This is the video I produced for the 2012 Spring Festival.

1st Google+ Anniversay Chicago Photowalk today, organized by +Jordana Wright & +Cassius Wright . Had a great time and got to meet some new people., and get reacquainted with those I've met before. I've looked through some of the shots that other people took today and there's some really nice work there. A lot of talented photographers in this city!
