'Homeward Bound?' (Autumn 2012)

I have put this picture on my phone so that when I am having a hard day I can look at that little bug and her/his constant battle with the undergrowth and just keep pushing and trying till something gives.  From another perspective, since being a child I have found the world of the very small fascinating and full of potential imaginings, the club moss becomes like long grass and the spider webs like trails of fine rope and a new universe of the overlooked opens up before us.

Thank you for accepting my request to join this group as an artist and an amateur photographer I like the aims of the community very much :)

Anyone here know much about the guts of ray tracing?  I have a cylinder written in a POV-Ray style (source code that is) that I cannot give co-ordinates like bottom [0 -2 -2] , top [0 2 -4] without it doing very strange stuff i.e it doesn't like varying z co-ordinates.  I need to talk to someone who knows why this might be happening so I can figure if it is in the language I am using or because I am not going through the process of defining a view space and a world space then transforming between them.

Sorry to those who are just here for the pics, I'm a bit of a math head and just want to know why????!!

microsoft i fucking hate you - do not upgrade unless you want to spend three days restoring your system to something that you can use as op[posed to something that ms want you to use WINDOWS 8? 

OK an update is in order, it took a day and a half to get installed and everything restored to normal but now everything, and I mean everything, is working faster!!  Now that is a result I can live with.

Breaking The Taboo - Film!

Why is it OK to have a glass of whisky of an evening occasionally but it is not OK to have a smoke of pot occasionally? 

I suspect the money and power of the cartels across the world has helped to keep drugs illegal.  The issue is fair distribution of power and wealth, why would you choose to be addicted to a drug if you could easily access help to get off it, and if your life was worth living?
