Swinging bridge of Barcelona.

Swing bridge connects La Rambla de Mar to Port Vell of Barcelona and allows the ships to enter and exit the harbor. It opens once every hour, on the hour, to let boats through, and also, by request, for longer periods. In the background you can see Hotel Vela (Sail Hotel) due to its shape, one of the most modern buildings in the city designed by Ricardo Bofill.

In continuing with my in-depth look at all of social networking options that photographers can utilize, I am happy to bring you the GOOGLE+ EDITION. Here you will find a closer look at G+ and its features, an in-depth look at Google's noise filters, the effect G+ has on ones Search Engine Results and much much more. If you are new to G+ or know other individuals that are on the fence about G+, this post is for you.

Two weeks ago I published the Facebook edition of this series, the next part of this series will be on STIPPLE (www.stipple.com), the newest Social Network that seems to have photographers in mind. Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest are still to come.

I have spent last week in Poland visiting my family. I had a great time but the weather was not really nice. I was just lucky to get one sunny and warm afternoon and went to Lazienki Park to capture some of this wonderful autumnal colors.

Just the sea. But so many patterns, shades, colors, lines, I could watch it for hours. I have photographed the sea so many times and I am still fascinated about it and I am always able to see it in a different way. It still surprises me :)

I am so busy lately and have some family issues what does make my life a bit turbulent so I apologize for not being around very often and taking active part in a Google+ live. I wish you all my friends wonderful weekend :)

Approaching Port Vell in Barcelona.
So unusual for me , images in monochrome :) I am big fun of color and always though my images does not work in greyscale but this time I see it different.
It was quite spontan decision to have a walk around the city and I wanted to use this little bit of time to make some images, the problem was midday light. So difficult to get nice color. I took my camera with Lensbaby attached to it and decided to experiment. This images and some more are the result from that day. There was no question anymore they just had to be presented in monochrome. Enjoy :)

Casas Rocamora
Casas Rocamora by catalan architect Bonaventura Bassegoda is a modernist big house situated at Placa Cataluña built in 1914-1918 years. The building has beautiful facade with neo-gothic decorative details and the beautiful towers on the top make it look like a palace.
And the pigeon was really there flying across when I was making a picture.

One more from me for today for #architexturetuesday curated by +Ranjan Saraswati. I love Barcelonas architecture / not only Gaudis works / there are such a beautiful facades, windows, balconies, ornaments but I have found out how difficult is to photograph it that it looks really good. Not mention that I had just one prime lens with me :) I am not sure about this one but somehow I like it.

Paseo del Born
This is like Barcelona looked like yesterday. I spent a beautiful day around Paseo del Born or (Passeig del Born in Catalan) very popular lately part of Barcelona. In El Born one can find a lot of beautiful squares, cafes, restaurants, bars and boutiques. On the Montcada street there is also Picasso Museum and Textil Museum. So just something for all tastes. And nice weather of course. Saludos from sunny Barcelona :)

Halo everyone :) I wanted to say thank you to all of you for stopping by my stream and leaving comments, it is very appreciated. I am back with this very quiet image as I need to calm down a little bit and working on this kind of images helps a lot. I dedicate it to all of you who need some tranquility.
Can you see this two yellow buoys? First I wanted to remove it but then I found out they bring some kind of balance to the image, something to hold on. I hope you like it :)

Cold winter
I have just heard in my home country Poland the temperature is about - 27 degrees Celsius so I would say it is really cold. I have been there in the winter time three years ago when I captured this image but that time was not so cold. I hope for all my friends and family it does not take long and the warmer days will be back.

Double rainbow
After sharing the last post I felt like to post something from nature and I have found this image taken already few years ago. This is view from my window and one afternoon when I got away from the computer I saw this beautiful double rainbow. I was really so happy I had not missed this nature wonder. It was there just for a few minutes.

Faded flowers

I just realize that I am very seldom photographing flowers. At the beginning of my photographic adventure flowers were the main subject but later I got attracted by other things. This one here is one of the latest flower images I did when playing with the Lensbaby and a macro adapter ring. I think it is nice sometimes go back to the flowers, they are such a grateful subject.

Tossa de Mar
Tossa de Mar is a beautiful small town situated on Costa Brava in Spain.

I shared this image once already in September last year so I believe many of my followers have not seen it yet. But the real reason of resharing it again is my contribution to +Best of 2011 - G+ Photography Book the wonderful charity project arranged by +Ivan Makarov and created by the Google Plus community. Hong Kong Trolley Buses

While going through some older photographs lately I have found this image taken four years ago during my visit in Hong Kong. I remember after arriving I was fascinated with those colorful trolley buses driving around the city. After coming back home I forgot about them. Looking at it today I was surprised how the colors on the bus match the colors of the surroundings buildings. I think it is worth to show it today. I used Topaz Adjust to achieve slight painterly look.

First of all I would like to say thank you for all your nice comments I really appreciate it very much even if I was not very active lately.
Today I have a quite moody photo to share. This one was taken three years ago in Warsaw in Poland on a very bad winter day but I was happy to be there visiting my family and my home town. You can see here Royal Castle at Old Town Castle Square and the statue of Polish king Sigismund III Vasa.

Happy New Year 2012 to all of you

I tried to post this image yesterday through my Galaxy Note but something went wrong and the panorama was not visible and finally I delated the whole post.
Now I am back home and try to post it again. I took this photo yesterday morning, hard to believe there was such a summer weather on the 1st of January here in Spain. This is nearly 360 panorama taken with Galaxy Note camera, really impressive quality for the mobile phone. There is visible change in exposure transition but this is probably possible to avoid by slower and smoother movement. Have to practice more but I have to say up to now I have a lot of fun. Now I am waiting for the upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich :)

The cheesecake is in the oven and smells already nicely around and I have five minutes time to drop in. I have found the image I made two years ago when visiting my country. This an entrance door of famous and good Fukier restaurant at Old Town in Warsaw in Poland.
I would like to contribute this image to #PaintitSaturday curated by +Alexius Jørgensen . As for the technic to achieve a painterly effect I used TopazLabs Adjust and played with different settings till I was happy with the result.
I would like to wish you all my Google+ friends a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas.

Yesterday I have found the moment to play with this image and I came with the result that really surprised me. I think it looks like watercolor painting but please do not ask me what I did to this image, unfortunately I do not think I can ever repeat it.
On the picture you can see the National Palace photographed from the terrace of Las Arenas de Barcelona.
