The Dying Priest
  
In a Sydney Nursing home an old priest lay dying.
 
For years he had faithfully served the people of the nation’s capital.
He motioned for his nurse to come near.
 
“Yes, Father?” said the nurse.
“I would really like to see Tony Abbot and Joe Hockey before I die”, whispered the priest.
“I’ll see what I can do, Father”, replied the nurse.
 
The nurse sent the request and waited for a response.
Soon the word arrived; Tony and Joe would be delighted to visit the priest.
 
As they went to the hospital, Tony commented to Joe,
“I don’t know why the old priest wants to see us, but it certainly will help our images”.
 
Joe agreed that it was the right thing to do at this time.
When they arrived at the priest’s room, the priest took Tony’s hand in his right hand and theJoe’s hand in his left.

In case you missed noticing, there is a huge civil disobedience campaign against Coca Cola and its products here in Australia. It's called Out of Order and it tells Coke that they were Out of Order to come into this country and ban a viable container recycling scheme in the Northern Territory through a loophole in the law there.

+Greenpeace Australia Pacific has taken on Coca Cola Amatil as well by means of an advertising campaign using online media. Watch the video. Get informed. Stop buying Coke and Coke products.

+Coca-Cola has now bought paid advertising spots on Google so when you search for Greenpeace you get a face full of Coke propaganda.

Restrictions on land clearing were put there for a reason. Allowing farmers to self determine what land will be cleared does not allow for an overall perspective. The possibility is another dust bowl.

We're back, once again. The kids once again dominated the week, with seven kids under 16 years of age who either shot themselves or were shot by other kids under 16. The youngest victim of GunFAIL this week was just 13 months old, shot by her dad while cleaning his guns. A shocker, to be sure, but then again it was the second time in the space of as many months that a dad had done the same, in Tennessee alone.

Three concealed carry ninjas had accidental discharges this week, as did five cops. Two accidental discharges were in school settings, with one student injured. The first involved a cop on a school bus, whose weapon was discharged into the floor of the bus when a student grabbed at the trigger while his gun was still in his holster. The Best, The Worst and a Way Ahead for Google+ Users (me specifically)

The best thing, the absolute best thing that I love about the new layout is scrolling down my feed and being arrested by some of the most amazing full size photographs. Visual content is stunning.

The worst thing, the absolute worst thing, is that discussions, real, full, long discussions are being lost in the feed. When you are following nearly 5k people, the post volume is quite extensive and finding the relevant and controversial posts is so much more difficult now.

I think that this is where smaller Communities will come into their own. The ability to concentrate posts in a smaller area of G+ has its advantages that were not previously recognisable.

The 2 GOP judges voted to nullify Obama's three recess appointments to the National Labour Relations Board (NLRB). This coincides with a confirmation hearing on five OTHER members of the same Board by the Senate.

If the nullification stands and the confirmation does not happen, the NLRB will be without a three person quorum. This has dire ramifications for union members.
