My local NPR station was doing its pledge drive during my trip home today. They were giving away a Roku box as a thank you gift and the lady describing it had obviously no idea about such gadgetry. I laughed so hard I almost ran off the road when she proudly announced it came with one year of "Pandoo and Hula." I need me some Pandoo.

Saw the new Star Trek movie yesterday and they played this trailer for Despicable Me 2 before the movie. I couldn't believe the song they chose for the soundtrack: "Without Me" by Eminem.  I actually really like this song, but this is one of the most offensive tunes you could possibly choose to accompany a kid's movie trailer. Since I know all the lyrics by heart, I kept waiting for the naughty bits to blast in the theatre. A slightly uncomfortable moment. :)

I took some fun pictures in the city this week.  Here's one behind a waterfall, looking out into the the sun. The water looked like frozen splashes of molten gold.  I think I'll do a few more from this series later, this was a very fun location.

I ran across this horse perched between the top of a garage door and the roof of a house. I love carousels, so this is awesome beyond all comprehension.  I looked for it but didn't see the brass ring on the roof.
