|Jackie M||1,878,466||I think I might have finally recovered from the disaster of my last Hangout-on-Air some 7 months ago - and I'm ready to start off this new series with a bang! I'm attempting something I've never tried to cook before, and it's called Mohinga - a Burmese noodle dish made traditionally with catfish. I have a talented blogger @114650739895778131636 to join me from California and he'll be talking me through how to cook this. Well, increasingly I've been valuing the role of using Twitter alongside - the cross platform connections make a huge difference to building relationships. So, I thought you all may like to dig a little deeper and there is no one better to ask in than @108947920975167979671 on this one as he is just bringing out a new edition to his book. He has a solid business view of social as well. So, hope to see you on Wednesday; and we will be taking questions so please ask away! About the book: The book was initially created to solve a problem. The most common question am I asked is, "Can you help me understand Twitter?" That is just not something that can be addressed over a cup of coffee! So I wrote this book, first to help my students, but it caught on has loyal fans all around the world. The Tao of Twitter teaches you the practical MINDSET for success, not just a bunch of theoretical or technical suggestions. If you follow the strategy in the book, I know it can work for you because I have seen it impact hundreds of lives. The Tao of Twitter is beyond a book. It's a movement. Welcome to a global community that is unleashing the power of this amazing communication platform to connect to the world and drive new business benefits in wonderful and unexpected ways!||The Tao of Twitter! |Jackie M||1,878,466||Melaka is one of my absolute favourite food destinations in Malaysia with a cuisine that is heavily influenced by Nyonya (a unique Malay/Chinese ethnic group) elements. Melaka's proximity to Singapore means they share some similarities in some of their Nyonya dishes which is a great opportunity for me to showcase some of these flavours when I run my second Ramadan Hangout from Singapore's Grand Hyatt. |Jackie M||1,878,466||One of my fondest memories of Malaysia is the abundance of festival celebrations among all the different ethnic groups - it seems like every few weeks there's an excuse for all the races to take a day off to help celebrate a cultural or religious event. This almost invariably means A LOT of feasting, and Ramadan, the Muslim fasting month, is no different. This year, to help celebrate the event, I will be running a series of Hangouts-On-Air based not only on the types of dishes you could expect to eat, but also incorporating the different States in Malaysia. I'm starting off with Kelantan (even though I've never been there!) thanks largely because my tour guide on one of my recent trips there, Liza, has a Kelantanese maid who cooks the MOST DELICIOUS food which is also very unique to that part of Malaysia :D ps. food dishes in this event were taken by my PA Chrys Voon on my most recent trip - when Liza invited us over for an encore feast :)||Jackie M Ramadan 1 on location at Grand Hyatt KL - Theme: Kelantan||2014-07-01 08:30:00||37|

|Lisa Engles||6,876||"New approaches to problems of the magnitude we now face as a species are hard to come by. New combinations of old patterns of thinking and acting are not working. Is Evolution itself telling us that we must find a new way of working together as a species? Is our survival dependent on it? Is it possible that we are dealing with an offer that we cannot refuse?" - Ron Friedman Twenty years ago, in 1994, visionaries Ron and @107556515995278860535 began an exploration in search for answers to these questions through a dynamic process in which they would convene with several other people with the sole purpose of accessing the Unified Field. In these sacred gatherings, they could step aside as individuals and enter into a collective communication with this Creative Source--- finding creative solutions to any problem, inspired answers to any question and innovative ideas for any project. Since then this process, known as the Vistar Method, has been used by corporations, businesses, non-profit organizations, theater companies and festival producers internationally and has been endorsed by evolutionary and futurist, Barbara Marx Hubbard president of the Foundation for Conscious Evolution. In this special edition of #thepowerofpractice we'll be journeying into that Field with Ron and Victoria as our guides. And along the way we'll - Discover why our current mode of communication is hurting rather than helping us - See the issues we as individuals and society will continue to face if we don't embrace a more evolved way of communicating - Learn what this new way of communicating looks like and how we can harness the power of this collective conscious communication for our personal, professional and planetary lives…. The great persian poet #Rumi said: “Beyond our ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there." This is a personal invitation to meet us in that Field, right here on Tuesday, March 11th at 1:00pm PST. Ron Friedman is a physician and scholar with degrees from Columbia University and Harvard. Victoria Friedman is a ceramic artist and a creative visionary. Together they have 30 years of experience in guiding people into the Field using the Vistar Method. They have presented the Vistar Method at The United Nations, at the Association for Global New Thought conference, for the faculty of Shift Network’s Agents of Conscious Evolution Training and in workshops internationally. Let this be the beginning of a new sacred gathering-- one in which we journey with these two visionary pioneers into the Field and experience how this evolutionary practice for communication can help us to transcend difficulties and predicaments of our personal and collective lives. #consciousevolution #visionaryleaders #evolutionaryleaders #changemakers #socialentrepreneurs #communication #consciouscommunication #unifiedfield #collectiveconsciousness #thepowerofpractice @100115151||The Power of Practice: An Evolutionary Practice for Communication||2014-03-11 21:00:00||20|

|Chef Dennis Littley||874,496||It has never been easier to produce online media. The goal of this Hangout will be to highlight common mistakes, and how to avoid making them. Don't worry about gear or technical skills, because the focus will be on aesthetics and creativity. My Guest for this event +Lenny Ferreira started his digital media career in 1994, when he worked for Avid Technology, makers of the original computer based editing system. Avid’s systems revolutionized how movies were made, and Lenny was fortunate to have been a part if that revolution. During that same time period, Lenny built his first website and quickly started producing short films and publishing them online for his friends and family to watch. After getting his feet wet in the video production business, Lenny moved to San Francisco, where he founded *FullView Media*, a boutique webcasting and video production company. Over the past 18 years, Lenny has worked with all of the major studios in Hollywood and is currently helping fortune 500 companies in Silicon Valley produce live webcasts for their online audience. Join us for our *Community Education Series* as Lenny shares his years of experience with us. This is so bizarre since I've known my whole life they're two different things - but I counted 6 times in today's Periscope where I kept saying Siew Mai is also known as Sui Gow. I'd even made some Sui Gow dumplings in this session before I moved onto making Siew Mai. Very strange to watch my brain not functioning properly.

Chicken and Prawn Sui Gows (dumplings) for breakfast. I'm amazed how he's thriving at his new childcare - he was greeting the other kids with hugs on arrival this week and had no hesitation waving me off. Little monkey.
