|Raymond Duke||2,369||I only use one circle for people I add on G+. This is it. Unfortunately, due to G+'s shortcomings, only 500 people are allowed. Maybe one day they will open it up to more, like Twitter did recently with shared lists. Why do I use just one circle?Because I treat everyone the same. If you are on the internet, it doesn't matter what you do. We are all equal on the web. Our conversations and interactions will determine the context of our relationship, not how I categorize you. ||2013-06-20 16:03:47||500||3||1||5||CC G+|

|Kyle Beck||66||So, I know a lot of my friends who have joined +Google+ wonder "What's the point? I have a Facebook." Well that comparison was flawed from the beginning, although many people made it while trying to describe G+. There are similarities, but one of my favorite features in G+ has been the ability to share Circles with others. In fact I'm not sure I would see the point if I hadn't been shared this very circle by +Robert Scoble (IIRC) early on in my G+ membership. It has proven an invaluable source of up-to-the-minute Tech News over the past year and really showed me how G+ is very different from FB.See, when you visit FB the information you receive is solely from your family and real-life acquaintances. This can be great for keeping up with people you don't see regularly, etc., but it is very hard to reach out to new people who share your interests through FB. Not so on G+. You can create and share groups of friends and pages (Circles) to organize your social interests. In effect, this creates dynamic communities where you can choose who you interact with.Anyways, I hope you will consider adding this Circle, packed full of Tech Enthusiasts. If you don't really use G+ or wonder what the point is, that goes double for you!||2012-06-30 00:28:36||488||10||0||3||CC G+|

I'm sharing this since I am seeing lots of new people coming over and I'm sure they are looking for some great people to circle here. Unfortunately I can't share everyone that I have in this circle (I have 575 in this circle on my screen, but Google+ only lets me share 500 with you). Lots of interesting tech bloggers and journalists here. Hope you enjoy. This is the circle that starts my morning every day.Speaking of Tech News, I'm off to +VMware. They are announcing new Cloud Foundry stuff this morning. So, you'll probably see some tech news from the folks in this circle.||2012-04-11 16:01:03||500||57||37||104||CC G+|

The Lifehacker Pack for Linux is going up on Friday, but I'm not sure if there's anything from last year I would change! This is one of my least favorite Linux downsides...development tends to be much slower on a lot of these open source apps :-/
What do you guys think? Any changes you think we should look at this year?

Alright, peeps: Nexus 5 or Moto X? Convince me.
Nexus 5 pros: I like the hardware better, easier to root, better screen. Might be a little big for my small pockets.
Moto X pros: Better battery life (this is a big one), active notifications are really cool.
Aaarrrgh so hard!

Playing Ocarina of Time for the first time since childhood. This plot makes no sense.
"I had this dream and there were dark clouds...I think it means that THAT GUY IS EVIL AND WANTS TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD"
Okay princess, that's quite a leap in logic. Let's step back and give this guy some due process. You are a small child who had a bad dream and that is a pretty serious accusation.

Remember how much everyone freaked out when Google Reader shut down, even though it wasn't that special and like 50 services instantly replaced it that were just as good or better?

Follow-up to my last question for PC builders: Where, besides Newegg and Amazon, do you buy parts? I occasionally buy at NCIX (for the price matching) and Micro Center (for the cheap CPUs) but wondering what other stores are out there.

PC builders: How is Newegg's customer service/return policy? Is it better than Amazon's? I haven't had to return anything to Newegg before.

Alright guys, formulating the Lifehacker Pack for Linux...and I need some help! I've been a bit out of the Linux game lately, so I turn to you, Google+.
I'm an Amarok fanboy. What's the best non-Amarok music player?
digiKam is our favorite photo editor, at least on KDE. What about GNOME?
How's Synapse these days? Has it become a good replacement for GNOME Do? I know Do is pretty old/abandoned at this point.
What other apps do you think should be on the list?

What are your favorite pay apps that are totally worth the money?
Some people think $20 is too much for an app, but there are a lot of really great ones out there. I'd like to round up some of the best...Mac, Windows, whatever price! Hit me!

A good farewell to Skyrim by +Kirk Hamilton. I'm still playing it myself (just got the DLC, heh), but my interest is starting to wane. I'm sure I'll go back and forth for awhile, but I think it's time to maybe start a new game.
BioShock Infinite, anyone?

The +GNOME crew deserve a major round of applause here. This release is most outstanding.
They have managed to, simultaneously, advance the technology and usability of their Desktop Environment forward into the future -- and make those that love the old GNOME 2 quite happy. "Classic Mode" is killer.
