I wonder what they are doing to YouTube next. Every time I visit one of my youtube channels, youtube/radiocurly youtube/curlyhost - everything has changed. New features after new features and nothing is where it used to be. When I imported my videos from GoogleVideo to YouTube it looks like they were imported as private videos; so of course, they are not getting any views . . . and to change them to public the only button I can find is save and share - so they are all appearing here on Google+ . . . and that seems a little bit spammy. Somewhere on YouTube there is a new feature to perform bulk actions - but I'm not sure if that covers making private vids public. Who knows? Who cares?

NASA's GALEX Reveals the Largest-Known Spiral Galaxy

This composite of the giant barred spiral galaxy NGC 6872 combines visible light images from the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope with far-ultraviolet (1,528 angstroms) data from NASA's GALEX and 3.6-micron infrared data acquired by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope.

Rats . . . I'm homeless

Hi, I’m a homeless soul, living in Adelaide, sunny South Australia. I’ve been without a home for just over two weeks now and have been keeping a journal of my homeless life, of the great support I’ve been given from friends and my thoughts about the level of support for the homeless that is provided by government and non government organisations in South Australia. It will be interesting to research solutions to homelessness in other cities and countries.

If time permits I will try to build some resources of agencies providing support for homeless people. I am appalled at the lack of integration and the ad hoc provision of these services.

I wish I could follow more people. If I find someone really interesting that I want to follow I have to unfollow somebody else.  I don't like doing that and sometimes it can take a bit of time. I wish I could follow back anyone who follows me. I wish I could follow back anyone who takes the time to find me and follow me in the first place - following them back is the least I can do. But GooglePlus won't let me. (I hope GooglePlus isn't trying to be so much like that other site that is has the same 5000 follower limit. Even my pooch is perplexed, he's already maxed out on Facebook.)

This red-eye tree frog was photographed by Shikhei Goh. He spotted the frog on a tree near his home in Batam Island, Indonesia, and bent down to take a picture. But just as Shikhei pressed the trigger on his camera, the frog threw its right arm in the air and struck a pose that looked like it was smiling and waving for the camera.
