I also love sausage, hot dogs, sandwich meat, packaged ham, pepperoni, salami and nearly all meat found in prepared frozen meals. ...DOH!

FINALLY ITS HERE!!! #Hailo is now active in #NYC.  I'm not sure about you, but living in Brooklyn has it's ups and downs. The downs been that Livery Cabs in Brooklyn are jacking up the price all the time. What was (or should be) a $18 fare can vary between drivers by 20-40%. At least with a yellow cab you can see what it costs and where you are going via the computer map in the back. It is also quite a bit cheaper in most cases to catch a yellow cab to and from Brooklyn. Trouble is finding one. Now it's possible with Hailo. See where they are and track them to your door. https://hailocab.com/nyc

Yep, this is my second S4 in a week and both drop my D-Link WiFi signal after just a few seconds. It wouldn't be so bad if T-Mobile wouldn't give me 4G for 4 minutes and then Edge for the next 4 hours :-/

Check out this neat blog that uncovers 'hidden' menu items in various New York and California restaurants, as well as some on-the-go tips! I'd love try and order one of these, but sometimes I worry the staff may just give me a confused look, haha.

Anyone know of a secret menu item at their favorite place? While it is on the menu (though hard to see in-house), Pommes Frites has some excellent Poutine!

Decided I needed to unwind by taking a leisurely stroll on the beach. #ConeyIsland in #Brooklyn #NYC sure does look a little pale at the moment. Also took a friend's advice and stopped off at an authentic Ukrainian restaurant. I totally agree with +Anthony Bourdain, the food was amazing.

I'm curious: do any of you have Synaesthesia?

I discovered I had Synaesthesia about 6 or 7 years ago when I visited a science museum in Toronto with my parents and my ex. Discovering I wasn't alone and that there was science behind it was a major deal for me, but both my parents and my ex just stared at me like I had 3 heads :-/ It's far less prevalent these days, but when I do calculations in my head I have a swirl of colors on a black background floating into loose knots. Yup, I know it sounds strange, but hey, if your a FB friend then you know I can be a little strange! I also recall memories in the form of color. Not a specific color, but rather a swirling fog of multicolors where the intensity and hues will give me a sense of knowing (that one is even harder to try and explain..). Just noticed something cool whilst watching a #YouTube video. I have a slow connection so there was a lot of buffering. When I used my keyboards arrow keys it turned the buffering circle into the snake game.

A Milky Way Shadow at Loch Ard Gorge

Have you ever seen the Milky Way's glow create shadows? To do so, conditions need to be just right. First and foremost, the sky must be relatively clear of clouds so that the long band of the Milky Way's central disk can be seen. The surroundings must be very near to completely dark, with no bright artificial lights visible anywhere. Next, the +Moon cannot be anywhere above the horizon, or its glow will dominate the landscape. Last, the shadows can best be caught on long camera exposures. In this picture taken in Port Campbell National Park, Victoria, Australia, seven 15-second images of the ground and de-rotated sky were digitally added to bring up the needed light and detail. Went snowboarding at Windham Mountain in upstate New York today. Weather was perfect, the snow was ok and the crowds were ridiculous. Had an awesome time though.

Am a little frustrated with the new #Community  pages so far.  I have set up a NYC Real Estate community https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/103544846905381395346 for which I tried to send invites to my NYC and Real Estate specific circles but it won't let me as I cannot send to that many people.  I only have around 1,000 people in those circles. Does anyone know the max limit. Does anyone have a work around?

Walked over to Manhattan today. Streets were calm. Felt very different walking through SoHo, TriBeCa and FiDi. Power was out so nearly all businesses were shut. Spoke to some police officers who said it may take another couple if days before power is restored.

Most of the FiDi (Financial District) had pipes coming from all directions, pumping water out of basements and the subways which were completely submerged.

Although the subways were shut, there was free buses for everyone.
