Jotkut ovat ihmeissään kun vieraiden julkaisuja tai päivityksiä näkyy virrassa ja ovat syyttäneet näitä postaajia yksityisyysasetusten vääristä säädöistä...
Siitä ei ole suinkaan kyse!
Kukaan muu kuin sinä itse ei voi vaikuttaa siihen mitä virrassasi näkyy.


Suosittuja julkaisuja nostetaan kaikkien virtaan ihan Googlen toimesta ja se onkin oiva keino löytää hyvää sisältöä ja uusia rinkuloitavia.

How your business could get sued for using Pinterest

Gosh, eye-opening article, citing Pinterest's TOS regards the selling of images.

Hmmm.

I just checked Facebook's TOS as they are similar -- but Facebook says "use" not "sell."

Pinterest TOS:

Insane Indian skyscraper replaces balconies with glass pools.

A 37-story residential skyscraper in Mumbai, India, called the Aquaria Grande Tower (currently under construction) will have the most insanely awesome feature ever: glass swimming pools where the balconies normally go for some of the apartments.

I want one.

Thought-provoking story:

A man sat at a metro station in Washington DC and started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning. He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that 1,100 people went through the station, most of them on their way to work.

Three minutes went by, and a middle aged man noticed there was musician playing. He slowed his pace, and stopped for a few seconds, and then hurried up to meet his schedule.

A minute later, the violinist received his first dollar tip: a woman threw the money in the till and without stopping, and continued to walk.

A few minutes later, someone leaned against the wall to listen to him, but the man looked at his watch and started to walk again. Clearly he was late for work.

Facebook allow verified accounts and pseudonyms for famous people only.

Facebook will allow famous people to verify their accounts and use a pseudonym. They'll still be required by Facebook to have their birth name on their profile.

Users can't apply to have a verified account, but will be selected by Facebook staff. Once chosen, they'll be asked to upload a scan or photo of a government-issued ID to prove who they are.

Did you know that you can just drag and drop a picture on to Google's image search to find other similar images?

Last week I got to be a fly on the wall at the Khan Academy as +Dan Russell and +salman khan made a short video showing how to search using an image.

The Digital Rapture
As this future becomes more and more plain to me, I see a rapture of sorts, where old-school photographers clinging to the old-fashioned ways of doing things will be “left behind.”

So much of the irrational behavior and anger is usually based in fear (fear-of-change, specifically), but it doesn’t have to be that way. There is a brighter digital future, if you're willing to see it.

When it comes to sharing your photographs online, you can go in two directions. You can put small images online, watermark them and then spend some or all of the week chasing down people that have used them inappropriately.
