My girls are 8 weeks old, and today it's 55 and very windy out. At 8 weeks, are chickens able to regulate their body temp to handle being outside in this weather? They're bored as hell in their box, but I'm afraid to put them outside, that they'll get too cold.

I posted this on FB and one of my republican acquaintances immediately liked and shared it. I don't think they realized it's satire. Probably just read the first couple sentences and went "oh HELL yeah" and hit the Share button. If they read farther, they would've seen it's satire. Sadly, this is far too common practice. I don't know about you, but I tend to read an entire article (at least skim it!) before I Share. IJS. *shrugs*

This +Macro Monday theme is perfect... FEATHERS! As luck would have it, I have four feather makers in my office. They're in their awkward, poof falling off, feathers coming in, phase. Underneath those brand new feathers, there's actually not much to them. When they stretch their necks out to check things out, you can see they're only barely as wide as a Crayola marker.

Who's really winning? When contest organizers take all your rights
This is one more example of a photo contest that takes all the rights to your photos forever when you submit one. I have always been very suspicious of such questionable contests. After all, this is a really cheap way for the organizers to gain full rights to do whatever they want with your photos.
Yes, that includes using them in a commercial context and selling them even if you're not winning!

I don't like how the G+ app on iPhone and iPad will only look at your Camera Roll or Instant Uploads. I should be able to choose from my other Albums too. All my images I took with my good camera are in other albums. It makes me grumpy.

A new Pinterest look a like; this one is for men. You don't pin things to boards, you nail them. I know Pinterest is dominated by women but do you think this is necessary, would you use it? Especially photographers, would you bother using something like this? Do you use Pinterest even if you are a man?
