I got a Chromebook Pixel to play with when I was at I/O last week. Anything you guys want me to write about while I have it? Definitely going to install Linux on it and write up a guide for that, but anything else?

What are the world's worst apps and services that everyone uses?

iTunes is my #1 pick, but Facebook and Adobe Flash are also on the list...

Trying to revive the old OG Droid. Flashed CM 7, but can't flash Gapps. I flash it through recovery but then none of the Gapps show up--not even the Market. Any ideas what's going on?

I have two Raspberry Pis. One is working as an XBMC box, but I haven't used the second one yet. What should I do with it? I need inspiration!

A good farewell to Skyrim by +Kirk Hamilton. I'm still playing it myself (just got the DLC, heh), but my interest is starting to wane. I'm sure I'll go back and forth for awhile, but I think it's time to maybe start a new game.

BioShock Infinite, anyone?

The +GNOME crew deserve a major round of applause here.  This release is most outstanding.

They have managed to, simultaneously, advance the technology and usability of their Desktop Environment forward into the future -- and make those that love the old GNOME 2 quite happy.  "Classic Mode" is killer.

What are some cool Tasker-like automation apps for iOS? Things that will, say, turn off a setting based on my location/Wi-Fi network/etc?

I'm checking out Activator, iScheduler, and SBSchedule, but are there others? MyProfiles looks killer, but it's been discontinued with iOS 5.

What are your favorite Windows shareware programs worth paying for? I've got a good little list, but don't want to leave anything out!

I'm currently looking at things that could be feature of Windows like Fences, Xplorer2, DisplayFusion, Divvy, things like that--not really things like screenshot tools/disc burning programs/antivirus/whatever.

I know there are a few of you out there running portable versions of Windows apps on your main machine, instead of using full installers. What are the advantages and disadvantages of doing this? Are the apps noticeably slower? Can you easily go in and tweak any files or configs, if need be? Doing research for an article.

This Chris Dodd guy (MPAA Chairman, former US politician) really got butt hurt over the SOPA/PIPA protests.

"Speaking at the festival's daily Cinema Cafe series, Dodd said the tech community's ability to mobilize the public was a game-changing phenomenon that he hadn't seen in more than three decades in public office."

But the thing I think he still misses, it was the people. The "Tech Industry" did not make me put a notice up on jupiterbroadcasting.com, my moral compass did that.

In the aftermath of the media attempting to label and box everything, they have portrayed this like it's hollywood vs tech giants. But its really hollywood vs the people.

But that's cool, I'd rather they keep fighting the wrong enemy.

'Twas the night before Apple's event, when all through the 'net
Not a blogger was snoozing, not even Henry Blodget.
All the cameras were placed on tripods with care,
In hopes that a new iPhone would soon be there.

Everyone kept clutching at the vaguest rumor threads,
While visions of real product leaks danced through their heads.
And the editors in their offices and the interns in their homes,
Still hoped to be the next geeky Sherlock Holmes.

When out on the Twitter there arose such a clatter,
And everyone clicked to see what was the matter.
To Tweetie and HootSuite they all flew like a flash,
Hoping for a headline that would make a splash.

They watched the trending topics with eager eyes,
While trying to suppress all their weary sighs.
When, what to their wondering eyes should appear,
But a video of man... more »
