Thank you all for your support, positivity and prayers.  I have opted to go with hospice care.  I was diagnosed with only a few weeks and this was the decision I have gone with. I just wanted to say thank you and I appreciate everything.  I love you all.

It's always about being healthy.  Just another list of foods that we already know are good for you.  Overall though, anything in moderation, except fried and processed (hotdogs/donuts) foods, can be good for you!!  And don't forget to always drink a glass of water before your meals!

I lost an aunt to a stroke recently, so this information has special significance to me. A high school classmate shared this on Facebook today and I thought I should share it with you all.

There is still time to volunteer, sign up to run or donate for #Free2Breathe  today.  First let me say, GO TEAM KENDRA for raising $1,443.00!  I am so proud and thankful to everyone who participated.  From volunteering to sending positive thoughts.  It all makes such a difference and we really pulled it together.  THANK YOU!!  

Unfortunately, with the weather I won't be able to attend the event but I will be cheering you on this morning.  Don't forget about the kiddos, not only is there a small walk for them but other activities as well.

I just can't say thank you enough to everyone.  It's definitely not enough but the most I can do at the moment.  I'm so appreciative and thankful.

God is good. Believe it.  Positivity has that power to make things better.

I'm glad they caught her killer.  Poor girl was way too young to die and now they are also saying they might charge others as well.  What also gets to me is that many of these recent murderers and victims alike are right around my age.  I'm 29 and fighting lung cancer and these people are out there acting a total fool screwing up their lives and then these innocent victims being murdered for no reason or going missing without a trace.  I'm so thankful to wake up every morning in the safety of my home.  I just feel blessed that even though the cancer could keep me from waking up, I do keep waking up and I'm safe.  This world is getting scary.  There's still a lot of good going on but the dark side is there.

My faith in mankind was completely restored today, I was so blessed by a perfect stranger and the memory of it has left me completely humbled and totally speechless...which for a girl like me is both a rare and foreign feeling.

My son Andrew turned 8 on Tuesday. My dad (as usual) sent Drew a $50 visa gift card for his birthday. We promised Drew that we would take him to the store to spend it this morning. At 11am Drew and I got to Walmart....after what seemed like 4 hours of Andrew mauling over every possible toy option to spend his $50 that he has been waiting days to do...he finally chose a lego batman set for $49.97. He was so excited. We got in line....and he proudly swiped his "credit card" like a grown-up. for some reason...the card declined. Weird. Deep Fried Mashed Potato Cubes
These deep fried cubes of mashed potatoes are made in proper college boy fashion, by whipping up mashed potatoes and filling an ice cube tray with them. Following a multiple hour freezing session, the cubes are battered with an egg, milk and flour mixture and thrown into the deep fryer.
