Rob Gordon38,275Entrepreneurs, Self-Employed & Small Business Owners.  SUPPLEMENTAL CIRCLE 3This is my third and final supplemental circle of the popular set of circles of the same name that I have published here since early in the history of Google+.  I have to retire this approach, because it has become circumvented by the new communities function which is a better tecnnology for this, but I promised a number of people I would include them in these circles, and I need to keep that promise.  This last supplemental circle is a grab bag of all different kinds of entrepreneurs - from influential industry leaders, to people running little struggling ventures, and everything in between.   If you want a little jolt of  of entrepreneurial energy then this circle would be a good place to start. There is no rhyme or reason to the selection - just people who caught my eye - there are some very smart birds in this one though so you may want to take a look.  If you really want to "entrepreneuralize" your stream go to our original set of shared circles and add those as you see fit. http://goo.gl/P0IrgUnfortunately, this method is simply no longer manageable or effective.  I am simply missing too many good people with this approach so with this last shared supplemental  this will no longer be maintained or updated, though I may continue to publish smaller, more specialized shared circles.   In a way, I am sad to see this go.  It is probably the most successful thing I have done on Google+ and I am rather proud of it.  I think it helped to make the entrepreneurs and small business owners on Google+ far more interconnected than they would have been otherwise, but all good things must come to an end. The good news is that these shared circles have been replaced with a community of the same name.  The "Entrepreneurs, Self-Employed & Small Business Community" has more than 8,000 members and is growing like mad.  More significantly, people are not just "posting stuff" - they are actively engaging in discussions, meeting each other personally. coming up with ideas and addressing any number of important small business issues.   In ny humble opinion, this is the best business community on Google+.  It is already being discussed on other social networks - Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook and blog posts - and we even got a mention in "Inc Magazine".  I believe that we in the small business community, even the most humble among us, could become far more powerful if we figure out ways to work together and use our massive brainpower to our mutual advantage.  We are going to continue to throw everything but the kitchen sink at this to make it happen.  If this is your thing, I hope you continue joining us.  This community can be found at this link: http://goo.gl/ejG9P  2013-02-11 22:57:081001616CC G+

With Google+ no longer showing pictures, and a fair amount of evidence that its impact on SEO is marginal (compared to links), and the reality that few people truly use it, and Orkut's impending death... You have to wonder when / whether Google+ will ultimately suffer the same fate? Oh, Google, why don't you support Google+ like you support those idiotic Google glasses?

We are past the initial euphoria, and with the death of authorship pictures, and strong indications from Google that they do not use it directly for search (except of course G+ local), it seems to be in a death spiral. Matt Cutts & Duane Forrester: The Dynamic Duo of SEO.  Don't know how much you follow the dynamic duo of Matt Cutts and Duane Forrester on SEO. Both post frequently of course and the SEO community hangs on every word. But sometimes, like when Matt Cutts recently posted on TITLE tags or Duane Forrester said that URL's with keywords don't matter... I wonder: a) do they ever do real factual research on these topics, because often it seems like the facts fly in the face of what they say, b) are they really useful to follow because some of their advice seems very pollyannaish, or c) they are spin masters and should be interpreted as such.  What do YOU think?
