I don't understand the lukewarm reviews of Little Big Planet Karting... I think it's incredible. Just about to finish the dev tutorials... Now to collect some more prize bubbles and then try my hand at making a level/track.

Looks like they did a good job moving in-game dev tools to a true 3d environment. Guess I'll find out once I start building. Definitely needed something else for my brain to focus on tonight... This should do nicely!

I had a delicious idea the other day... and it became this weekend's experiment. Sriracha Bacon... two of my favorites combined.

This was the first test run, and it was delicious. Marinade was approximately 1 part vinegar, 1 part water, 1/2 part sriracha, with some crushed black pepper as a bonus. Next time, less vinegar, more sriracha. The bacon marinated a little over 12 hours.

+Joni Hall and I attempted both fried and baked, and both methods were amazingly delicious. Sriracha was served on the side for dipping too of course, but really wasn't even necessary!

Drool in envy.

I never imagined I could feel so satisfied eating a plain piece of bread and drinking some water.  GLORIOUS FOOD AT LAST!

That said, as I sit her reading some James Bond movie reviews (I've been working my way through watching them all in order)... I wondered to myself: "Self?  Does anyone review the movie reviews/reviewers?"

This particular quote alone makes me think this reviewer (admittedly, they seem rather amateur) fell and hit their head: "made very little use of Christopher Walken, who is one of the most under rated actors of all time."

Really, Christopher Walken is one of the most under rated actors of all time?  Maybe in 1985 when the movie was filmed, but definitely not in 2012 when this review was written. o.0

I had a new toy arrive yesterday. A QuNeo midi controller.

It took a bit of messing around with to really figure out how to fully configure it and use it... it's more powerful and flexible than it looks. But I think I've got the hang of it now, and it is pretty awesome.

So far my only real complaint is that it is noticeably less responsive on an unstable surface, such as the glass desktop. It does much better on an amp, the floor, or even my lap.

Oh, and the micro USB cable it came with was far too short. Luckily I had a spare 10' standing by.

Other than that, loving it. Now back to work/play.

Untitled #3 (aka Samskeyti) by Sigur Rós, and this is not the best sounding recording of this song, nor is it the best take out of many.  It's a pretty raw recording compared to the album version.  But the rawness of it gives it a certain human quality that so much music lacks today.  I'm even OK with that wrong note.

I think I have determined that this is the hardest android game ever.  It has 3 difficulty settings: Hard, Harder, and Hardest.  Most of my games last somewhere around 10-15 seconds, but it took me a bit of practice to make it that far.  Starting out it was more like 2-4 seconds.  And that's on Hard (easy).

It's simple, fun, and addictive, and has a well done soundtrack.  It reminds me a little of Tempest from way back in the day, but simpler concept and faster paced.

Give it a shot if you don't get motion sickness or epileptic seizures. o.0

After a day or two of air slowly leaking out of my tires, the shop found three nails stuck in two tires that I haven't had on the car for even two months yet.  Both are unrepairable.

And apparently this was the first time in years that I opted not to get the road hazard warranty. #fml  :(

The #enlightened have been able to keep Greenville, SC under control, with only a little bit of #resistance activity in the area.  But we had noticed our brethren to the south in Columbia, SC have been having more trouble.  There are a few active Enlightened, but they are outnumbered and outgunned by the Resistance, and Columbia was rapidly becoming a blue town.  The Greenville Enlightened decided we needed to give them some support, so planning for our road trip began.

The Resistance field structure depended on just a few key nodes, and would have been easy to take down. But rather than focusing on destruction, we set our sights on capturing the entire city.  With the town buried under a green blanket, they wouldn't be able to putup any ... more »

Has anyone noticed problems with your N7's screen turning on randomly since the jellybean update(s)?  I've been seeing lots of this, both when I'm plugged in and when I'm not.  Sometimes it's sparse and random, other times it's like the screen just won't stay off at all, every 5 seconds it comes back on.

Aside from being annoying, this is making a big impact on my battery life.  Most people I know that own one haven't noticed this.  Has anyone else seen this happening?
