Twitter Cleaning House?

The problem is that there are so many 'How to Hack Twitter Account' softwares out there - it's scary!

I included the video in my article purely to demonstrate how easy it is for anyone with no prior knowledge - whatsoever... [NOTE - for any Hacker thinking that the link promoting that software works it doesn't]

IMO, there needs to be an automatic takedown of sites promoting how to compromise accounts - across the web. At the moment the hackers are winning as it's far too easy...

Wireless Tech Takes Advantage of Whitespace

The new model is fully compatible with RDL-3000 series.  However, it lacks the ability to change manually the frequencies that the device operates.

Redline sees an immediate use of its new model to be within the “white space” spectrum.  These are frequencies that were abandoned by analogue TV when digital took its place.

Moon Watch

Last March 17, 2013, +NASA  astronomers were able to capture some unusually bright explosions on the moon.  They were able to record some remarkable impacts using a 14-inch telescope.  One of them could be noticed on Earth without any instruments.

NASA scientists have monitored the moon’s activity for the past eight years and have seen many explosions previously on the surface.  Hundreds hit the surface every year.  However, this one was different.  It was 10 times brighter compared to what they usually record and the brightest since the program started.

As the moon has no atmosphere to protect it, any object or material coming from the space hits its surface.  On the contrary it is very unlikely to see something dropping on the Earth from space as all of them are burning while approaching the Earth’s surface.

http://fetchip.com/ - Nice  _simple_  site that does exactly what it says... great if you need a quick way to find your own IP address - like I have to atm as one of my own sites is currently under a brute force attack; someone trying to gain access to my admin panel... They don;t stand a hope in hell ;)

Technology Gets Better:  I Want YOU to be my Prom Date

Every girl blessed with a typical American culture wants her prom to be special.  They want to be asked by someone in a very romantic way.  However, Nicole Muxo, a senior high school student at Archbishop Carroll High Coral Gables, Florida, had her own way of making her prom very special. 

She asked NBA superstar, Dwyane Wade of Miami Heat to be her prom date via a YouTube video. 

She thought her effort got wasted when she didn’t get any response from Wade or anyone from his side.  Wade though was only arranging his schedule to make sure that he can have a night off while his team is in the middle of the playoffs.  Apparently, Wade managed to get a night off and give Muxo a prom to remember.

FYI for developers that use Twitter API

In further preparation for the retirement of API v1 on June 11, 2013, we'll be conducting another blackout test on May 22nd, 2013 from approximately 20:00 UTC to 21:00 UTC (1pm to 2pm Pacific).

During the blackout test, API v1 will respond to authenticated & unauthenticated requests with "HTTP 410 Gone".

Facebook Needs Friends

Facebook is struggling to convince investors that things look right.

 However, this is not a “forgive and forget” kind of business.  It’s been a year since Facebook went public and more than a full year when the expectations were on the rise about how well the IPO of the giant will go.

Well, it didn’t end as expected.  To be kind, it wasn’t a success story by any means. It continues to create frustration and makes the “community” very nervous.  

And, people in this business tell their friends how they feel about it, post comments to their walls and the like.

Since the initial public offering in 2012, prices are moving around the $35 region.  Facebook is the fifth-worst performer among 124 shares debuting the same period.  It ended last among the majors -  those asking more than $200 million.
