Meet Wonky, a puppy at Dogs Trust Leeds who is featured in the Daily Mail today. Poor Wonky was sadly left with a severe disability after being dumped on the street as a tiny pup.

Since arriving at the centre last week, tough Wonky is beginning to show signs of improvement due to her physiotherapy treatment. We hope that her legs will begin to straighten in time and staff at the centre are appealing for a home with a family that is committed to continuing her physiotherapy (with costs supplemented by Dogs Trust). With the right treatment, she will hopefully be able to live a normal life and do all the things a puppy should be able to enjoy!

Beautiful Beau has attracted lots of attention, and even been reserved once or twice - but this 6yo JRT from Dogs Trust Merseyside has now spent TWO YEARS in kennels waiting for a home. 

Beau has had some behavioural problems but he's responded really well to training. Anyone rehoming him would have the support of our behaviourists to help ease the transition. He would do best in a quiet, adult home where he's the only dog and centre of attention. 

Beau's new owners will need to visit the centre a few times to ease him through the rehoming process. We know he's going to need a special home, but we also know that someone must be out there who'll read this and know he's the dog for them! We're delighted to celebrate the news that Dogs Trust Loughborough has now seen 500 dogs head off to happy homes since opening in June 2012. This fellow is Leon, who struggled at first due to having an autoimmune disease which left scarring from lesions on his face. With his condition under control, and lots of love to share - not to mention bags of energy - Leon now has a happy home with the Higgin family. We wish them all the very best!

Please don't risk leaving your dog in the car in hot weather - even if you're parked in the shade or the day is overcast. Temperatures can reach fatal levels in minutes. Please call your local police station if you see a dog in distress; the non-emergency police number for the UK is 101.

We have decided to make Scamp our February Dog of the Month as he has been at Dogs Trust Darlington for 7 months and he always seems to get overlooked.

He is a beautiful boy who gets along well with all his kennel mates and he is a firm favourite with his Canine Carers.

Scamp is a two year old terrier who originally came from a farm. When he first came to us he was very shy and frightened of being handled but he has really come out of his shell. He still isn’t too keen on going to the vets though!

We did find him a home but unfortunately the gentleman was unable to give him the exercise that he needed.

Scamp adores the outdoors and he loves running around the fields, the beach and he also loves water. He would thrive in an active home with someone who will take him out for plenty of exercise.

As he can be a little sensitive he would prefer an adulto... more »

Gorgeous, gentle GSD x Collie Bentley at Dogs Trust Kenilworth first came to us when his owner sadly passed away, and has now returned due to his second owner's unexpected ill health. He doesn't like kennels, so lives in the offices by day and with a carer at night, and would LOVE a permanent home asap. If you can't offer that but think you could foster, the centre is VERY keen to hear from foster carers, potentially for Bentley and certainly for other dogs too. Kenilworth, Darlington and Bridgend Rehoming Centres have their annual Christmas Fayre, and for Dogs Trust Leeds it's the first of two consecutive weekends of Santa Paws at the centre.
