|matthew rappaport||182,780||499 +Google+ ers that are RELEVANT to me according to the PLUSarithmThis MEGA +Shared Circles on G+ is literally the 1st 499 names that are listed when RELEVANCE is selected and 'Your Circles' is clicked under https://plus.google.com/circles (very close to it!)There are 15 that I didn't include in the circle but made the cut that are celebs or pages that I will list below as I wanted to share more users overall in this #sharedcircle which is almost entirely full of WIN.It is interesting that the first couple of rows are a mix of people I spent more time with in the beginning and with people I spend more time with now (which has interlap!) and of course how does one define 'spent time with' when talking about a social network place but the stream, hangouts, gtalk, +H.I.R.L., etc. The algorithm is not there yet to take note of all the data let alone measuring offline interaction but I tend to +mention people (a page in the Top 499, left out of this circle) a few people now and again, it seems the more you do that with a person or page, the more relevant they are to you in this list. I wonder if that data showing how many times you tagged someone and them you will be available in the future and if so, everyone can expect that number to be high for most from me!I do find it curious that +G+ Interviews which is a page started by +Peter G McDermott that I was helping with takes up my number 3 spot when I haven't tagged it in so long or done much with it in a bit nor felt I ever interacted with it to any level compared with those surrounding it. It's not a perfect system for sure and we all might have ones that slip through the crack that make us go, "Why is this person more relevant or WHO is this person?!"I am the +1 in this circle but everyone else is the +1000 zombies that +byron rempel will turn UNDEAD +1000 that rocks the PLUS. I can vouchfor almost all the content being interesting, all the people though, that might be another ... WOAH :)~+Having said that, I will produce the next 500 Relevance Circle today and I dp feel like many of them should be||2013-01-04 19:14:28||499||38||34||43||CC G+|

|AJ Durling||853||This is a bonus circle, and is actually pretty much where I started when I was creating my first circles - Top 500 PlussersIt is the people with the highest number of users - and is actually now only 308 people. When I first collected the Top 500 Plussers on Google+, I spend a lot of time weeding out the people whose posts in which I didn't particularly have an interest (e.g. almost all of the photographers - nothing against people who post photos to G+, it's just me: this is Google+, not Flickr; people who only ever promote themselves - so quite a lot of the pop musicians). The list that is left are people who, I think, actually contribute to the stream. You may find some surprising choices (Dolly Parton?! Actually, yes!). But I hope you enjoy it.I've kept the name Top 500 even though it is a lot fewer than 500. I like the irony... #circleshare #sharedcircles #celebrity #topcircles||2012-10-19 15:06:56||307||3||0||2||CC G+|

|Chris Hoyt||3,129||Circle Back to GoogleLooking for people who work at Google? Here's a great circle that's a strong addition to any search you've already performed on Google Plus and that I'd include with any other search for Googlers that you've already conducted. What's interesting to me (and that I'm getting around to pointing out) is that whether you're just looking to expand your network as a member of Google+ or actively #recruiting and #sourcing online, I believe that you'll find infinite value from the proper care and feeding of Google Plus circles. In fact, if done correctly (and maintained) it's a fantastic way to filter your Google Plus stream and check the pulse of any company, organization or interest group. In the event you missed it, I did an article back in August that mentioned my interest in Circles and how I'd be exploring the management of them. (http://www.recruiterguy.net/recruiting-management-circles) So far, I've not been disappointed in the ability to really hone in on an area of interest by filtering my streams based on these circles and simply watching the conversation flow. Of course, being able to quickly see all of the updates from a particular company or interest group is just the start. The more proficient we get with our filtering, the easier it is to get the latest from fun entrepreneurs, CEO's, diversity interest groups, active and passive jobseekers and more - these are just a few of my own circles, mind you. You have the ability to filter by profession, seniority, geography, language, etc.The possibilities are endless!I'd love to hear how you, or others, are using circles to manage the information stream you've found in G+ so far.||2012-01-04 20:07:36||348||2||1||1||CC G+|

After a hardk0r 200-mile-run-in-the-rain weekend for my friends running the Ragnar relay (Ultra version) from SF to Calistoga, CA (I was helping out as one of the mandatory volunteers each team needs to provide), the team, supporters, and volunteers took it easy on Sunday, hitting up a few vineyards and one burger joint on the way back to the South Bay.
California wine country seems to just want to be photographed - each place was gorgeous! Pictures are mostly from the Francis Ford Coppola winery, but also from Miner Family Winery and Robert Mondavi.
Also, might just have to do this one day when my ACL heals: http://www.ragnarrelay.com/race/napavalley

What do you want to do this weekend? Beach? Mountains? Why not both?! I was pleasantly surprised to find that the beaches around Lake Tahoe are really nice, not too crowded, and serve up gorgeous views (and very comfortable weather).

A wintery summertime hike over Memorial Day weekend to Aloha lake near South Lake Tahoe.
Started easy enough hiking through a few miles of trail and some boulders, and then for the second half, the trail disappeared entirely under a cover of snow. Existing tracks went every which way, so we had to rely on a compass and the sun (since we didn't know the declination...) and our trusty Tom Harrison map of the area to bushwack for a couple hours before (finally) finding the lake.

A light (and hot!) hike out around Tucson, AZ this past weekend. Saw my first Saguaros (there's a picture in there of me next to one, for a sense of scale...) and more species of cactus than I knew could grow in one place. Pretty exotic - definitely recommend (especially during seasons when the seven waterfalls that we didn't make it to might actually be running :))

I didn't get Ferris Bueller's Day Off at all when I first saw it (I was like 11?) but it's gotten funnier every time I saw it afterwards. So the references at http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2012/01/30/hondas-ferris-bueller-super-bowl-ad-hits-web/?hpt=hp_t3 made me smile - though I miss Cameron's character (and the others)... (thanks to +Edward Huo for finding!)

Today we are introducing Search plus Your World, a new Google search experience centered around people. For the first time ever, you will be able to find personal results from your world -- your photos, your friends, your stuff -- in search.
It's rolling out today and should be available in the US for all signed in Google users over the next few days.

As an impromptu early Christmas present to myself, I bought tickets to the (sold out, of course - thanks, stubhub.com!) +Red Hot Chili Peppers I'm With You World Tour concert in Oakland!!! Super super super excited - RHCP has dominated my playlist since high school, and this is the first time in my life that I can finally afford the chance to see them play in person :)

Apparently Oscar the Grouch was carefully designed to help us deal with our negative emotions, and other people's points of view. Who knew?

My Thanksgiving London trip, in 18 photos.
If there's one thing I learned, it's that 4 days is not nearly enough to see even half of the awesome stuff just within London itself - let alone the rest of the UK. It's a very cool city - I hope I get a chance to swing by again!

Random useful blog of the day: http://budgetbytes.blogspot.com/
Even though I don't cook anymore (learn more about Google's food perks at https://plus.google.com/110981030061712822816/posts/UgCL6YRwgbR), Beth's delicious, yet cheap and simple, recipes got me (and the BF) through a whole year of grad school. Every time I see a new recipe pop up, it almost makes me want to be a budget-conscious student again :)

Well, it's official! The BF and I are using our miles and going to London in a couple of weeks (over Thanksgiving), with a possible stop in Paris on the last day.
Do people have suggestions for things we could do? My original plan was to hang out in the British Museum every single day, but that sounds a little lame. We're especially clueless about things to do in the evenings...

We've just completed our rollout. Now everyone can create a Google+ plus page.
Thanks for your patience!
And as promised....below are the donuts that got us through the morning :)
EDIT: If you are having issues getting the link to work try refreshing your browser. It should work after that. Takes time to trickle through the intertubes sometimes.
