I'm trying to give the new G+ layout a fair chance, but this really grates on the eyes...

Well, this is obviously the blueprint for how tech support calls should go. I'm going to start ending all my customer interactions with "I love you. Happy Halloween."

Not vibing on the new G+ layout. I want to see a stream of content, not a scrapbook.

This is very cool, and long overdue but why is it US-only??

Oh, I hope Hollywood doesn't do it's usual dumbing-down, sugaring-up job on this...

One of the greatest finishes I ever saw.
Such a shame his later career was hampered after surgery but, still, what a magnificent horse.

Are there any standards for this stuff, or will I have to decide if my next car will be compatible with my chosen handset..?

I wonder how much reassurance this gives to the average punter...?

Another must-read article by @Documentally- it's depressing to think that what these young kids have already gone through will probably result in them growing up into yet another generation who will bear arms in regional conflict.

This is a neat project; and a clever way to make use of Skype to do the heavy lifting.

Took me a while to write this. Lots of distractions here. And then there's the power cuts and gsm issues.
I do wonder how many will take the time to read such serious stuff.
I'm not the news. And I wonder what kind of impact.. if any.. sharing this will have.

This is a long read, but well worth it, and the most shocking thing is that it isn't front page news everywhere.

"according to the Yankee Group, iPhone ownership in the U.S. will exceed Android ownership by 2015. The reason: Platform loyalty."
What say you, Android users...?

Bullshit from the BBC
I saw this link on Hacker News (http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20130315-a-better-way-to-learn-chinese), which took me to the BBC website. Imagine my surprise when I'm greeted with the screen below!
Isn't the very nature of an international service that it's available, you know, internationally? And so what if it's not funded by the license fee? I'm guessing it's funded by ads; hardly a reason to prevent UK users from accessing the content.

I'd like to see this functionality built in to Google News... Might force a change in editorial practices!

Engagement. Change. Technology.
"Collaboration isn’t a technology, it’s a behavior. And implementing one doesn’t automatically make the other happen."
So how does an organisation support behaviour change?
A good early question, a much better question than, should we use this tech tool or that one...
Early morning thoughts...
1. Think hard about the culture required. Map where you are currently. See the gap, share the gap.
2. Behaviour change can be learnt as with any other skill. Once mastered it can be applied to any habit change.
3. Encourage cross silo'd conversation. This requires trust. See culture. It's about idea flow. It leads to innovation.
4. Nurture cooperation, as without it, collaborative projects fail.
5. Collaborate only when it makes sense to.
