On May 8th 2012, the day before his 40th birthday, my brother Bren Vaughan will attempt a Guinness World Record - the fastest ever marathon while dribbling a football.

It's a huge challenge and we really need your help. Donations have only just started but we need to ramp them up quickly to have any hope of achieving the target of £5000 by the 8th of May.

Times are hard, we all know that but if you can help in any way, with even the smallest donation, it would be greatly appreciated... not just by us, but most especially by the children and orphans in Lesotho whose lives your donation can help to transform.

As is often the case with pure genius, this is definitely in the realm of "zomg <facepalm> why didn't I think of that?"

Did one for my own iPad (for my company) and my wife's with her crafting brand (she doesn't run a business but she brands everything she makes)

A lot of friends are getting into photography these days, and I find myself teaching the basics and answering FAQs over and over. In response, I've written up a basic 'intro to photography' document that I give to people now. It's mostly geared towards techies, but should be readable by anyone. It also answers the question "which camera should I buy?"
