Acceptable Morning To You
I'm working on little sleep (less than 4 hours) from last night thanks to a combination of the thunderstorms and the pain (yay, broken ankle! grr), so... yeah. It's gonna be a long day. Hopefully I'll get to a point to where I feel like taking a nap later.
In the meantime, I've got some projects to do this morning, so I'll be taking care of that.
Plus breakfast. Because it's that time of day.

My Google+ wish list.
I'm a huge fan of the Google+ redesign. But G+ is still not perfect. Here's what needs fixing.
Single column view for the Profile. You can easily toggle to a single-column view for circle streams, but inexplicably not for one's own profile. I even made a circle with just me in it, and that doesn't work, either. I want a way to look at my own posts without the crazy multi-column view.
An "All" option for noise control. Right now, the options are "More,” “Standard” and “Fewer.” For super important circles like my “Family” and “Friends” or any other circle I should have the option for zero filtering.
Better fonts. +Linus Torvalds is right: The new fonts on Google+ are terrible. This is super noticeable on a Chromebook Pixel.

I wish I could say there was a funny story behind how this came to be, but really, I was just trying to commute to work on my bike... and instead, ended up missing work due to a broken ankle... that will be requiring surgery once the swelling goes down.

Minus the crazy fans thing, I want to say that I personally enjoyed the Southern Vampire Mysteries series. Sure, I'll be sad to see it end - just like I am for any series (book or television) that I get really into - but I'll also be grateful that it ever existed at all.
Ms. Harris is a fantastic storyteller, and I enjoyed the books way more than the spinoff tv show (True Blood). It's one of the few series that I'm happy to have followed, and have read through it multiple times. I hope she can find a peaceful life after ending the series and that the crazy fans don't ruin everything she's built.

Reading the reactions people are having about the upcoming cicadas season, it's all I can do not to grin and giggle. This isn't a yearly thing here? Really? This was super easy, inexpensive, and tasted bloody fantastic! Though I think the potatoes were just a tad bit undercooked for my liking (they were cooked through, just not to the consistency that I like so I'd recommend closer to 25 minutes cook time on those, as opposed to 20), everything else was awesome.
I've still got 3 more servings left for myself, plus half of the ingredients left over to cook another batch, so not bad for $15 to be able to get that much out of it. It was filling without being overly heavy, and didn't take long to make.
I will be working on creating more planned meals in the future, but I was extremely tight on funds this week, so I'm working with what I've got. Being able to easily make do for an entire week off of $15 and have s... more »

I just realized that since it is Free Comic Book Day today that not only should the comics be available in stores, but also through the Comics app, I thought to pull it up and check: and YES!!
