A few years ago on a test flight the Boeing 787's had a fire in the cockpit with exactly the same consequences that ANA's domestic flight just experienced this week.

Why hasn't that issue been fixed?  I am sure the plane is amazing and will fly all of us one day but there always seems to be massive growing pains with any new aircraft launch.  A380 was the same.

Fact: both the MPAA/RIAA/ content and technology (Google, Facebook, Amazon and numerous others) industries have significant lobbyists in Washington.

Fact: the technology industry doesn't want SOPA to pass into law but has no authoritative facts for why it would be harmful to anyone. It only tries to list a few improbable applications with no scientific or factual evidence.

Fact: the industry that produces and creates original content and intellectual copyright wants to protect their ownership from the largest illegal theft ever known to man. Over $100 billion and counting.

Fact: the technology industries have not created a solution for the protection of copyright.

Fact: the content industry needs to do much more to distribute to its audience via the web legally.
