Last week was a whirlwind, starting with the incredible keynote, followed by three full days of sessions from Moscone Center in San Francisco. Between sessions throughout the first two days of the event, we delivered exclusive content and interviews on GDL @ I/O, including excellent guests like +Bradley Horowitz, +Megan Smith, +John Hanke, +Hugo Barra, +Baris Gultekin and more.

With SPDY and HTTP/2, we can finally stop playing silly games, like delaying "low priority" requests for images: instead, we can send them all immediately, and let the server optimize delivery based on priority of each stream!
Net effect: better throughput and utilization of the TCP link, and... faster rendering speeds! Below graph is a great illustration, courtesy of +William Chan: Chrome M29 delivers faster rendering by eliminating unnecessary delays in the resource scheduler!

Instead of doing Bay2Breakers, I decided to join +Timothy Jordan & +Natalie Villalobos @ +Maker Faire. I saw tons robots, drones, interactive displays and gadgets. I wish I had time to build more! I also got to met some of the folks behind Kickstarter projects I back, like +Spark Core.
Good times were had, I'll definitely be back next year.
