I have been talking about "The Slippery Slope" for years.  Organizations like NAMBLA love this kind of stuff because it further legitimizes their lifestyle CHOICES.  

Funny though how the anti-hetero community has no problem supporting their quest for special rights because "people are born that way...they can't help who they love...it is natural...etc."  but if a pedophile, or NAMBLA member, etc. wanted the same rights for teh same reasons they woudl be the first to deny it.  Kind of hypocritical...don't you think?

Recently I have been questioning the value of social media as it pertains to relationships with others.  To that end I thought while I was on Easter break, that I would challenge modern convention & try to ACTUALLY communicate with people on a personal level (live or on phone).

I find it a little funny that not once...but three times in one week, did those plans fall apart.  Let me be straight up & say that I hold no ill will towards those people that this happened with & no...I will not forgive them...because there is nothing to forgive.

But it kind of made me laugh that part of the reasons why people don't interact on a personal level anymore is because often times it is navigate around all of lifes activies/committments/etc.  Not that these don't hold value, but it made me continue to evaluate what I hold as dear & important to my life.  Helped put thingsin ... more »

Hi all! Hope I to an solicit a favour from folks who are willing. My wifes dad has pneumonia. He is in his 70's and has other health conditions to boot (eg. COPD). She is really worries about him consider the amount of health scares and deaths she has experienced at work lately.

Please pray for him but for her as well. And maybe that God might use this situation to bring her to the kingdom...or at least move her closer.

Please don't feel obligated at all stages kg thank you and God bless you if you do.

For the last while I have been watching a show called "Doomsday Preppers" & as a result have connected with a prepper (Hi Johnny!).  I am not sure where I am in the whole preparedness thing....I thinking more general at this time, but I find the whole thing intresting.  Mostly because there is no typical prepper...in the same way there is no typical Christian, or this...or that or the other thing.

Well...one of the things I have been curious about & have talked a bit to Johnny about is how the whole aspect of faith (particularly Christianity...as I are one) fits into the whole thing.  I have seen a couple of examples of members of faith communities but my most recent example was one of the newer episodes on "Doomsday Preppers (Hurt Locker episode).

Have done this numerous times before, but today was the first day that I started pruning my digital footprint out there & trying to get my name removed from various places.  Also trying to find out where I am connected & re-evaluating my connections to others.

I know people often talk about the whole six degrees on seperation thing but it isn't often that I see it happen...to me anyways.

Recently a lady died in Calgary from the H1N1 flu.  I didn't realize it but it looks like she was the mother of someone I went to school with decades ago.

Please lift up the family in prayer at this time.  Having lost my own dad suddenly a few years ago I can relate on some level.  And while you aare at it...maybe swing a few prayers upward fro others you may know who have recently lost someone or who have a sick or injured loved one in their lives.  For those in this state...I pray that Christ would minister to you/their needs at this time & that God would send His spirit down to comfort and heal you.

While I don't make resolutions I do have some important changes I either want to or have to make. If you feel so inclined...please pray that God will not only show me the way He wants me to go but to provide the tools I need to get there. While this might only be relevant to Canadians I thought I would share it with as many people as possible so they can share with their circles & hopefully some Canadians there will join in.

Basically, Sun News Network (http://www.sunnewsnetwork.ca) has applied for a license that would put them on a level playing field with other news networks in Canada.  Currently they are 4 out of 10 TV's in Canada & can only be accessed through premium cable channels where others including one Amercian broadcaster are available on 10 out of 10.

Regardless of whether you agree with them or not, if you are a defender of free speech for EVERYONE (even or better yet....especially) when you disgaree, then please sign the online petition or send a written letter.

Had an interesting couple of days watching "Doomsday Preppers" on the new PVR.  Glad we got it now or I wouldn't be able to have watched it.  Have only seen 8 episodes from Season 1 so far & not sure when Season 2 will be on there.

Glad +Johnny O Dingmans Ferry Doomday Prepper put me onto it.  Didn't know there was preppers in Canada though.  Was kind of cool seeing a couple from up here including one from my city.

Not sure where I am with everything but certainly interesting to look at & consider.

It is with a huge & heavy heart that I today mourn the loss of one of my guinea pigs.  Sweet little "Panda Bear" passed some time in the middle of the night beside her sister pigs & in the company of her puppies.

Sleep well my sweet girl & cross over the "Rainbow Bridge" & into heavens fields of timothy hay & parsley.  You adorable face & silly litte mannerisms will be greatly missed, but you suffer no more.

OK....how STOKED am I!  Demon Hunter is coming to play in my town!  It is not often that we get good metal up here & I honestly never thought I would see them up here.  For anyone that likes metal....please check them out...go to the show.  Make it a viable options for bands like this to do shows in Canada...particularly Calgary!

The only thing that would have been better was them playing on my birthday.

Financially...at work...at home...personal faith...health....just a whole gambit of things. To good NOT share.  Not sure if it is legal or not, but stumbled across this website & have downloaded a few items from it.  Says it is for mobile devices, but essentially saves them as *.PDF's.

A quick search on Linux brings up at least 50 items including magazines, books, etc.
