If you are looking for a venue to host your event in the Tampa Bay (FL) area, consider the Marriott Tampa Airport Hotel! I've covered numerous events there and it is always fabulous with helpful and courteous staff, excellent amenities, and beautiful meeting space! Plus, for guests who are flying in, it gets no better - get off your flight, take a short shuttle to the main terminal and you are at the hotel!

SUPA-DUPA-COOL MOVIE!!!

What a Father's Day present!!! My family took me to see Man of Steel and then to dinner at Planet Hollywood-Orlando for a wonderful day!!!

I HOPE ALL OF THE DAD'S OUT THERE HAD AN AWESOME FATHER'S DAY TOO!!!

But back to the movie - it was like, WOW!!! Very well done remake of the franchise!!!  I am excited to see what comes next!!!

Here's a shot that I was lucky enough to take last fall.  Believe it or not, it's a single exposure taken in Cedar Key, Florida.  This sailboat remains docked throughout the year; however when the tide is low, it becomes stuck in the sand.  I timed this shot so that the Milky Way would be directly overhead at low tide, allowing for this surreal scene to emerge.  Camera info is Canon 5d Mark ii, 17mm, f4.0, 30sec, ISO2500.  Thanks for looking and feel free to share!!

In continuation of a post I had a few months ago about using off-camera flash units/strobes at different parts of the wedding (including the reception), here is a new shot/example. While you are not always able to do this (several factors including space, access to power, venue rules, etc.), when you can, using flash units can help capture some pretty cool shots.

This is a partially silhouetted shot with the Bride & Groom sharing their first dance...
