We introduced a new "Contact Form" widget today. If a reader enters a valid name, email address, and message into the form, the blog owner will receive the message via their email of record.

To install the widget from the #Blogger dashboard, select: Layout > add a gadget. The Contact Form widget is located under the "More Gadgets" tab.

Writing a thoughtful post and seeing how people engage can be really rewarding, so today we’re making it easier to reach a broader audience and see more of their reactions.

With Google+ Comments, people can share the comments they make on your blog to their circles in Google+ or publicly, helping you reach people that they know.

Do you have a website for your business? One great advantage of using Blogger for your business site is that you can easily make the updates to your site, instead of having to go through your webmaster each time. 

Here's an example of a Blogger site that Blogger guru +David Kutcher converted from another website. Even though everything looks the same as before, the innkeeper can take advantage of Blogger's easy editing tools to update the site by herself, on her own schedule.

Our newest addition to the Gadget Gallery is the Wikipedia gadget. It allows you to insert a Wikipedia search tool into your sidebar, below the header, or above the footer. Insert this gadget by going to the Layout tab of your blog, selecting "Add a gadget," and finding this gadget in the "More Gadgets" section of the gallery.

On your blog, the search results will populate below the search bar and link out to the corresponding Wikipedia article (in a new browser tab).

For this week's Hangout, +David Kutcher is back to lead a tutorial on several important topic for bloggers:

* Authorship - what it means and how to set it up on Blogger
* rel=publisher - and what it means
* With this new-found information, how to set up Guest Blogging on your Blogger site.

Difficulty level (scale of 1-5, 5 as expert): This tutorial will vary in difficulty. The first two sections will be accessible to beginners (2). I just noticed the Google Geeks (or someone else?) have introduced a little ''easter egg' in +Blogger's Dynamic Views. If you click on the title (as shown) some red hearts will appear that flow upwards.. 

I could only replicate this while not logged in and browsing down in Classic View to this specific article...(?)

Edit.. Just found out: Clicking on the page anywhere will reveal them..

Anyways, I like the gesture. ;)

It's been a while since we've hosted a Hangout On Air, but we're bringing it back!

Tomorrow, +Marie Mosley from Code It Pretty will showing you a quick way to add a signature image to every post in Blogger with just a little bit of CSS. All you need to use this tutorial is your Blogger blog and a signature image. No previous CSS knowledge is necessary. She'll explain it all in a beginner-friendly way. 

Difficulty level: 2/5 (beginner) -- appropriate for Blogger users who are comfortable with the Blogger interface but don't have to know much about customizing it. No prior CSS knowledge is required.

We just released an update to our iOS app. The update includes native support for iPhone 5, and iPad models 1/2/3. It also contains the addition of Google Analytics for application usage statistics, updated save post options to "Save as draft", "Publish" or "Cancel", and some minor bug fixes including an issue with Japanese keyboards.

Blogger Hangout veteran +Marie Mosley is back this week, and she'll be leading a project-based tutorial about how to use the HTML editor in Blogger to craft your blog posts. Here are some topics she'll cover:

- the process of writing a post in the HTML editor, using a recipe as the example post
- a general overview of the HTML editor's interface
- how to put together a post with HTML headings, paragraphs, and unordered/ordered lists
- how the HTML can be styled with a bit of very basic CSS to make the post look great

Difficulty level: 3/5 (intermediate) -- This tutorial would be suitable for Blogger users who are very comfortable with the Blogger interface in general, but don't have much experience using the HTML editor. No previous HTML knowledge is necessary.
