Whatever happened to a world in which kids get muddy, get dirty, get messy, and heavens, get bored? Do we have to love our children so much that we overschedule them, making them stressed and busy — just like us?

What happened to a world in which we can sit with the people we love so much and have slow conversations about the state of our heart and soul, conversations that slowly unfold, conversations with pregnant pauses and silences that we are in no rush to fill?"

If you did see it, can you connect the dots?

The answer is NOOOO!

"Our findings is that Anthony Johnson was in fact a black man that owned slaves, but to call him the first slave owner in America would be a stretch. If anything he owned the first slave declared a slave in a civil court of law. There were however legally declared slaves for at least 15 years before him."

Indentured Servitude is NOT the same as chattel slavery.

- An indentured servant signed a contract to work for 1 to 7 years.  Some people voluntarily signed contracts to work in the NEW WORLD (The Americas). Some people were forced into it. The reason many people signed up for indentured servitude was they needed a rich sponsor to pay for their passage (on a ship) to The New World.

- On average, an indentured servant would work for about 4 years and then gain COMPLETE FREEDOM. And most indentured servants were ASSIMILATED into WHITE society (They were slowly accepted in the majority race in the USA.)

- Most European indentured servants were NOT chained on the voyage while being transported to the New World.

- Indentured servants came from various European countries, e.g., Ireland, England, and Germany.

Stop wearing that tight azz shxt!! Duh! Put on a dress. Pull out a skirt. Buy some nice dress pants. Buy some jeans that fit that have a longer inseam and a wider leg. If you are a woman, you should know your body below the belt needs to breathe. I thought this was common knowledge. (Just because the media tells you it's hot doesn't mean you have to follow every trend. Fashion is also about comfort.)

It's not a difficult concept to ADDRESS your specific audience when you standing in front of them. #HillaryClinton, don't be dense; you are too smart for that.

If a musician is standing in a stadium in Ireland, he would say, "I love Ireland." If he told an Irish crowd "I love Germany," that would be a bit AWKWARD...out of place.

People, the same goes with #AllLivesMater and #BlackLivesMatter. <Consider your audience>

If you want Black Americans to know you care about our community and our needs and issues that plague our people, you have to SPEAK words that specifically address that belief.

"It was, and remains, necessary for white women to decry the violence that is done in our name. It is on us to dismantle racism with just as much commitment as we dismantle sexism, for one cannot happen without the other.

This is also not to say that we should make this horrific event all about white women, or all about white womanhood. It’s not. So often, the defense of white womanhood against black men results in violence against black women, and this time is no different. Six black women were shot dead in Charleston this week because of the centuries-old and still going strong perception that white women are in peril from black men. The reality is that rape, like most violent crime, is more likely to be intraracial than interracial."

So often, the defense of white womanhood against black men results in violence against black women, and this time is no different. Six black women were shot dead in Charleston this week because of the centuries-old and still going strong perception that white women are in peril from black men. The reality is that rape, like most violent crime, is more likely to be intraracial than interracial."___

"Lately I've been sitting around
Killing time
Staring at faces going blind
Like I'm waiting for a sign
To come find me
Somebody told me long ago
What I feel I got to show
And 'til everybody knows
what I have inside me
So I hope you know
There's more of me than I show
But I just need another beginning
I need you to know
I'll get there
I just started slowly
Now nothing can hold me"

Can Women Reclaim The Word "Slut"? --- ""Since women are progressively devalued more promiscuous they become, it’s hard to feel a sense of pride around your sexuality or even discuss it at all."

"“Sluts” are dangerous because their lack of morals indicates their unwillingness to follow rules, which in turn means that they are less likely to be governed by patriarchal standards of proper conduct for women."

"When you try to cut out Christians with a religious cookie cutter, you not only tarnish diversity, but you trample on grace. It’s one thing for Christian subcultures to cultivate unique values. But it becomes destructive when those values are chiseled on Sinaitic tablets for all to obey.

It’s even worse when Christians expect instant holiness from recent converts—holiness, that is, in areas where we think we’ve nailed it."

I once heard a story about a Christian woman from the East Coast who confronted a West Coast youth-pastor, who allowed “mixed bathing” at youth events. “I can’t believe any so-called Christian leader would allow boys and girls to swim together!” She expressed her concern, all the while puffing on a cigarette. The youth pastor couldn’t help but smile, speechless at the irony.

I attended a conservative Brethren church when I lived in Scotland. Some of the women wore head coverings and none of them spoke in church. When I had our Irish pastor and his wife over for dinner, I asked them what he would like to drink. “Beer please,” the preacher said. “And for you, madam?” “I’ll take a glass of Chardonnay, thank you.” Were they liberal or conservative? I guess it depends on which subculture you come from."___
