Disclaimer: I'm an old fart. I'm not an expert but I've been around the block a time or two. So there is going to be a revolution? I think I have some experience with that. I was part of the New Left Revolution. We took on the Establishment and were going to change the world. It didn't happen. When OWS came along, I thought now the Revolution is going to happen. We now have the internet and cell phones and have many more ways to promote our cause than we did in the 1960s and 1970s. It fizzled. Saint Bernie's Revolution did not materialize in Iowa. He lost. It's not coming at all.

It is disappointing to be feeling the backlash that comes when a woman threatens to topple the most deeply entrenched status quo ~ a predominately white patriarchy ~ but here we are, again. And, it is disappointing to be faced with the lack of knowledge of women's history that shows itself, also again, which is now solidly juxtaposed with a lack of civics literacy in the United States. Of course, it is lack of education that will be the end of us ... so here where are, again, on a precipice ... will we fall back or will we move forward? I've no idea. The good news is ~ some are thinking about it!

The jobs report, by all measures, was pretty good: unemployment down below 5% since well before the Great Recession, 14 million jobs added in the Obama recovery - 5.5 million in just the last 2 years - and even finally some wage growth.

And it is good news, unless you ask the ever angry warrior of the Left Bernie Sanders, who has now been reduced to parroting Republican talking points to belittle the tremendous progress President Obama has made and the stunning recovery America has come through under him. The unemployment rate is really 9.9%, said Sanders, in campaign rhetoric reminiscent of Mitt Romney's unskewing of polls.

Has he lost his ever loving mind?

Stop feeding Hillary haters with baseless insinuations. Thats how cons created teabaggers, and now they're paying the price for it.
If supporting the Democratic Party means supporting the establishment, then I'm in full support. The Democratic establishment is the best chance to obliterate the republican establishment.

She was amazing
Chisholm’s campaign wasn’t easy. During the road to the primaries, she survived multiple assassination attempts, sued to make sure she would appear in televised debates and fought her way onto the primary ballots in 12 states. Though she didn’t win, in the end Chisholm won 10 percent of the total vote at the Democratic National Convention, clearing a path for future candidates that weren't white or male.___Black History Month

What is socialism? France has a billionaire banker who headed the Socialist Party until recently. In America Senator Sanders the self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist rails against billionaires. The Republican right wing rails against billionaire George Soros (who has contributed to a PAC supporting Hillary Clinton but also has supported with his money the development of democracy in former Soviet Countries and Eastern Europe.).

I agree with Senator Sanders on one thing from tonight's debate. I do not think the state should be killing people. I don't think he went far enough though as he went on to say we need to put them in jail and throw away the key. I think the criminal injustice system needs to be totally reformed. I think that it should work towards rehabilitating criminal behavior and finding ways to return people to productive lives. I firmly believe that people can change, even the most hardened criminals. Civilized people would find ways to do this.

But she sees a parallel between the ongoing Democratic primary and her own clash with Sanders. Namely, the idea that Sanders benefits from a subtle double standard. "He'll grab an issue and because he's so determined and passionate about it, it makes it seem like he cares more than Hillary," Kunin says. "He can say things with a forcefulness that most women can't. If a woman shouted all the time with her answers like Bernie does, she'd be booed off the stage. So women still have to behave well, where men don't have to."

The epitome of this to me is the second item on his list—free college.  That sounds great.  But that’s not very useful to people who are stuck in crappy school districts and might not be able to get into—much less graduate from—college.  I looked on the rest of his page for his K-12 education plan...and amazingly, this supposed progressive hero didn’t have one.

Most of the talk regarding student loans and "free" college come from, well, people like me - white people from a middle-class background who have a lot of student debt...The push for college to be free usually comes from people who already went to college, or whose children are virtually certain to go to college anyway.  In other words, the middle class.  Not the poor.

In modern America, free tuition and drastic cuts in student loan interest rates would not even be a good “investment” absent improved K-12 education.  Free tuition would not greatly increase the number of people who attend college.  For the most part, it would simply reduce the debt burdens of people who go to college anyway.  For those people, it would not an investment.  It would just be a subsidy.  You're just paying them to do something they would have done anyway.___

Clinton contrasted the Democratic issue-oriented primary with the Republicans having a contest to see who can insult the most people, "We're going to be talking about and arguing about issues on our side, they're going to keep insulting each other on the Republican side."

I finally added AdBlockPlus. I always believe in fair play. If a website or news site is free, they have to pay for it somehow and the adds on their sites were a necessary evil and I put up with them. Today, I tried to visit a website that was so full of adds that it would not load the page where I could read the content I was looking for. I added ABP and viola, the site loaded immediately and I was able to read what I was looking for.

We have two candidates running very similar, yet still very different campaigns. On one side we have Bernie Sanders, who’s giving many on the far left exactly what they’ve wanted to hear for years. He’s making a lot of huge promises that play right into the hopes and dreams of far-left liberals. And on the other side we have Hillary Clinton, who’s still very liberal on a lot of these issues, telling voters the truth about the realities of government and what sort of progressive goals are realistically achievable based upon those realities. Even though by doing so she’s alienated some of the liberal base.

Bernie's enraged savages yell out their hatred and disrespect for Hillary even though none of them have a rational excuse to explain their discontent.  Specifically what did Hillary do to enrage them. They have no clue so they repeat the same disproven teabagger level rhetoric over and over. They pretend that they own the term progressive even though they can't explain why they're more progressive than Hillary. Then they rudely attack Hillary calling her a liar even though none of them can say what she lied about.  They are as classless and uninformed as koch teabaggers.
