Fibre may be a reality soon in most of Kent. I am currently with VFast who are excellent, but it works out expensive having a land-line on-top of their fee.

I have done a massive clean up of those in my circles. If I have removed you by mistake, I do apologies. Leave a comment if you feel I removed you in error. :-)
I had to clean up my stream as a lot of the posts were not adding value to my experience here on G+. I am viewing this as a clean start ... maybe not quite as clean as +Kev Isabeth becoming +Kev Isabeth

What do you think of the new G+ interface?

Holy cow! I did no think Costco would stock items like this! £ 360K's worth of a ring. Makes me feel really poor.

Inkscape
Been fiddling with Inkscape. Pretty amazed at how simple it is to draw things. I still have a lot to learn, but I produced this image in about 10 minutes. Cannot wait to learn how to use the application to its fullest potential.

Bislington Monument
"The Cosway Monument was built in 1835 in memory of Sir Richard Cosway, who was killed in a coaching accident. Sir Richard was a much-loved local benefactor, a wealthy landowner and Lord of the Manor of Bilsington. The Monument is about 52 feet high and is built from Kentish ragstone.
The monument became such a well-known landmark for shipping and aircraft that it was in danger of being demolished during the Second World War, for fear that it might aid the enemy. On 21st October 1967 the monument was extensively damaged by lightning and, over the next thirty years, exposure to the elements caused further deterioration.
In May 1997, a charitable trust was formed with the object of restoring the Monument and, as a first step, the Monument was leased for 99 years from the landowner on whose ground it stood. The cost of restoration, including... more »

Spring
Another thing I love about spring are all the lambs. Cute and clumsy. :-)

Went to take some photos, landed up falling with my hand landing in some brand new stinging nettles. :-( Carried on and took some photos, I will look just now to see if there is anything worth posting.

Latest instalment of my photo-walk diary. If you get the chance ... give it a read. It gives a bit of a story behind the actual day, and a little on the kit I used and how I used it.

Have you been impacted by this yet? I know I have. My service provider has been struggling since yesterday with this ...access to all my sites is intermittent to non existent as they are blocking ranges of IP's to try and stem the flow of attacks. This could get ugly.

Ordinary
This is just an ordinary post in an ordinary park on an ordinary day in England.
Sometimes there is beauty where there is nothing out of the ordinary.

My return to Google+
I know I have been neglecting all my friends here. The real-world has just gotten in the way. I promise I will spend at least 30 minutes each day here, to at least comment and + your posts.

An article I wrote on by blog about my last real decent photo walk. Just before I got chicken pox.
I cannot believe how long it is taking me to get over it. Still feeling very week. I feel fine, but as soon as I exert myself, I can just feel my body is not over it.
Hopefully I will have some new material soon ... :-) Till then.

My new home on the web
So with all the dodgy dealings with some sites and photo's. Licencing issues, etc. I thought I would find a place to show off my work. So from now on I will be posting reduced quality images on G+ which will still be just fine for viewing online, all high res stuff and more will be going on my site.
This is just a start, I cobbled it together quickly last night, and I will be expanding it in the months to come.
If you have time, please drop by and have a quick look. It may not be much, but I still would value your feedback on what is there right now(which you can comment here if you so wish).
Thanks.

Colour version of the photo I posted last night.
Not sure which one I prefer.

Missing Spring
Seen as spring has refused to arrive, I am creating some floral images from stuff my wife likes to keep.
I have been away for a while due to contracting chicken pox. Worst couple of weeks of my life. But I am on the mend now, but unfortunately it looks like my little one has it now :-(
Anyway, hoping to post some more images, as I return to the land of the living.

Old Pillbox
Came across this old WWII era pillbox about a mile from our house. I find England amazing, there is so much history all around you.

Kingsnorth, Kent
I have been so busy with work, and then the weather has been rubbish, I have not had an ounce of creativity in me. I decided today to take advantage of the sunshine and went for one heck of a long walk in the countryside.
Hopefully this is me back .... spring is here (sort of), and hopefully I can come out of hibernation.

I have been too busy to even think about doing some serious photography. This screw reminded me of the Red Cross symbol ... which in turn made the think my photography hobby is in need of some aid. Sigh, longer days are coming, so maybe I will find more time then?

The difference a week can make ... plus a bit of warm. Similar position to the one I posted a little while ago.
