We're happy to announce that the Jolicloud Desktop Environment has been improved and is now available for the brand new Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail!

Main changes:
• The native theme looks nicer
• The browser has been upgraded to Chromium 25
• Non-free codecs for HTML5 audio and video playbacks are now installed by default
• The whole environment is more stable

If you already installed the previous version, follow the instructions below to update your system:
• Open a terminal with [Alt] + [F1]
• Type "sudo apt-get update" (without the quotes)
• Enter your admin password (characters are not displayed for security reasons) and press [Enter]
• Type "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade" (still without the quotes)
• Type "y" and press [Enter]
• Restart your session

Has anyone heard any report of memory leaks on the #Nexus10? I keep having to reboot mine because it'll start swapping apps out of memory, even if they're open.

I have to think it's a bug in +Android 4.2.2, but it's a pretty bad one. You'd think #Google would have caught it.

I've been obsessed with Falling Up ever since I first heard them two years ago. They have a totally unique sound to them. This is an original song, but it's on their remix album, weirdly enough.

Last year, #Facebook  purchased #Instagram  for $1 billion. Now it's looking like #Yahoo  is going to buy #Tumblr  for close to $1.1 billion.

I'm wondering if this means that these major companies are all looking to purchase a major startup to compete with each other. Which raises the question on what #Google  and #Apple  will be doing.

My money was on Apple buying #Twitter  last year, especially after they decided to integrate it with iOS so deeply. But after they did the same with #Facebook , I wasn't so sure. Facebook has been in bed with Microsoft for a few years because of their initial investment, but Microsoft has the kiss of death right now, so I'd imagine Facebook will be puling away from that soon enough.

It'll be interesting to see if either one of those two massive companies decides to go on a shopping spree, though.

I can't quite get a good sunset photo with the iPhone 5 without putting some kind of filter on it. This one was with HDR, which was surprisingly the better shot when I compared it to the one without it.

Granted, I shouldn't be judging a photo from a smartphone just yet, but the ability to just point and shoot is a really big deal to me.

The iPhone 5 still gets better low light shots than any Android phone I've seen before, but Android tends to do much better in good lighting. So sunsets are a weird middle ground.

The #contacts system is a mess now. I've got two entries for everyone in #Hangouts now, and there doesn't seem to be a good way to #merge contacts with online accounts, even from the main contacts page.
