I love teas. It's no wonder tea was once a currency. However, when brewing a cup, it's best to use loose tea in a french press or a pot with a tea strainer. Vetted sources are now revealing dangers in tea bags. Makes sense. I never put hot beverages in plastic lined to-go cups or use plastic spoons to stir in honey.
If you have a bagged tea you just love, contact the company and ask exactly what makes up the tea bag. Any bleaches or polypropylene fibers may very well steep into your beverage, this article has the specifics. YUCK. When in doubt, cut open the bags and use like a loose tea.

My lunch; mustard greens and baby bok choy. Simply steam in 1 inch water. It reduces down quite a bit as you can see.

Fermented vegetables, such a simple pleasure. They are under-recognized in our culture, but are a vital part of maintaining a disease free life.
The shredded veggies on the right are covered in freshly juiced leek, cilantro, romaine & celery. The veggies on the left are covered in freshly juiced carrot & turmeric, with some left over to drink:)
It's the first time I've cultured without a starter. It will take 2-4 weeks. I'll let you know how it goes. I learned a trick from Caroline Barringer; put a cabbage leaf on top of the shredded veggies to keep them under the liquid. They must stay under the liquid to culture properly. They will be fabulous!

Taking a walk is great medicine for depression and stress. I love to take a long walk every morning, it's starts the day terrifically, oxygen is powerful. Eat truly healthful foods, and visualize yourself being happy and fit. If you do this everyday, you will feel and see a difference pretty quickly. G8 snack/meal after a busy day shopping, gluten free toast, avocado smear, bruchetta. :)

Guac and carrots is one of the easiest and most nutritious snacks.
For good ole' guac: 4 servings
3 ripe avocados
1-2 lemons
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tomato (optional)
Simply slice avocados in half, remove pits and scoop soft flesh into a medium mixing bowl. Cut lemons in half and squeeze juice on avocado in bowl. Add spices. Mash with potato masher or fork. If desired, dice tomato and stir in. That's it, easy breezy.
Serve with carrots, blue corn chips, or rice tortillas.
